Jane didn't make a complaint against Pierre which surprised everyone. But she asked to have a protection against him, forbidding him to be at less than fifteen kilometers of her. Because of that, Pierre and his wife had to move.

Now she was taking some rest in her bed, thinking of her healing when she heard someone knock at the apartment door. She didn't move as Cassandra was there. The woman went to her door and opened it. She wasn't expecting to see this person.

- "Um, hi, Melanie. What can I do for you?"

- "I...I wanted to see Jane..."

- "No. She is trying to move on."

- "Just a few minutes. We're moving anyway. I just...I wanted to apologize to her."

- "Let her come in!" Jane loudly said from her bedroom.

Cassandra sighed of annoyance. She didn't like the Greens since the incident. And Melanie had always looked at Jane in a weird way. She didn't like the idea to let her alone with her niece. But Jane was old enough to make her own decision, and she had to respect that, to show her she was trusting her. She moved aside to let the woman enter and went to Jane's room.

- "You're sure?" she asked.

Jane nodded.

- "You want me to stay?"

- "No, it's okay. It won't be long."

- "Okay. You call me if you need anything."

Jane weakly smiled to reassure her aunt. Cassandra pinched her lips together and nodded. She killed Melanie with her eyes before letting her with Jane. Melanie widely smiled to the brunette before sitting in the bed next to Jane. The woman placed her hand on the young girl's thigh, but Jane grabbed it and brutally moved it away from her.

- "One word, and we leave together," Melanie said.

- "No. I'm not in love with you. You're crazy, and you live with a crazy guy. I was having sex with you just for the bills, nothing more. Now, leave before I ask the same thing as Pierre for you."

- "There is something strong between us, Jane. You can't deny it!"

- "I don't have to, because I don't feel anything for you! Except...pity!"

- "...Pity?"

- "Yes...You must be very sad to fall in love with a teenage girl. Or sick, I don't know yet."

- "Oh...You're probably right...But nobody can control feelings," Melanie said.

- "That's true. That's why I'm not in love with you. I just don't control it."

- "If you could, you would?"

- "...I don't know..." Jane lied.

The woman pouted and nodded. Jane didn't say a big no to her to not totally break her. Even if she was just a client, she didn't want to hurt her. But she was glad she was leaving with Pierre. Melanie stopped fighting. She stood and left the place without saying word to Jane or Cassandra. The aunt came back to Jane's room and frowned at her.

- "Was she...one of them?"

- "...She was the first one."

- "Okay...How many "clients" did you have?"

- "Not that much," Jane said, staying vague on purpose to not hurt her aunt too much. "But it's past now. I won't do that again."

- "I hope. You deserve happiness," Cassandra smiled. "Bev should be here soon."
