The next morning, Bev was lost in her thoughts above her bowl of cereals. Learning that Jane and Cassandra didn't have power anymore made her feel guilty. She abused their sympathies and probably stole them electricity while they needed it more than she did. Her uncle appeared in the room and saw her. He smiled to her but frowned when he didn't have a reaction from her.

- "Is everything okay?" he asked with a worried tone.

- "I...I don't know..."

- "If you're not ready to stay here, you—"

- "It's not about that. Don't worry. It's just...you work at the power company, right?"

- "Yes, why?" he frowned with a smile.

- "You remember Cassandra and Jane Brown?"

- "Yes. How could I forget about them? It's thanks to them if I finally know you."

- "Well...I've a service to ask you...They...the company cut the power of their apartment. They probably have lots of debts, and I thought that, maybe, you could do something about that...?"

- "I...I'm not sure I can erase debts like that..."

Andrew looked at the disappointed expression of his niece and felt his heart breaking. When he looked up, he saw Daniel with his coffee cup, making a head movement to convince him to do more than this.

- "I'll see what I can do, okay?"

- "Really?" she smiled.

- "I mean, yeah. They deserve a little help."

- "Thank you!"

The young girl jumped of her chair and ran to him to wrap her arms around him. The man was surprised. He hesitated but wrapped his arms too with a wide smile on his face. It was the first she had been so expressive with them.

Further in the town, Jane was deep asleep in Mallory's bed, sobering up. Mallory gently shook Jane who began to growl and to roll on her side. The brunette felt her stomach burning and quickly turned to throw up. Luckily, Mallory placed a basin next to her bed.

- "Hi," Mallory smiled.

- "Hey..."

- "How did you sleep?"

- "'Got worse."

- "Cool. Because I spent an awful night thanks to you."

- "Me? What did I do?"

- "First, you got drunk at a rave-party, second, you snored the hell out of you the entire night, third, you had three nightmares which woke me up, and fourth, you just puked and my apartment will smell it the entire week!"

Jane nodded and felt sorry. She was about to spit in the basin, but the brunette began to slide on the bed and fell in it, covering herself and the bed with her own vomit. Mallory quickly stepped back and began to nervously laugh while Jane was trying to stand.

- "It's not funny," Jane said.

- "I'm sorry," the blonde girl chuckled. "I didn't sleep so I guess I'm laughing to not cry!"

Jane pouted and felt sick because of the smell. Mallory told her to take a shower while she was opening the window. The brunette took a long shower, trying to get rid of the awful smell, but it seemed impossible. She cleaned her clothes in the girl's sink and dried them with the hair dryer before putting them on her. She looked awful and she was smelling, but at least she was ready to go. She left the apartment to take the bus. She fell asleep against the window during the ride until the person sitting next to her accidently shook her.
