Another week was beginning. Max was still surprised to see Jane in class. She was still hoping the girl to give up. Neil had been awful this Sunday. He kicked her again in her stomach, but this time, when everyone asked her who did that, she didn't answer. She didn't want to make things worse with Jane, the brunette was furious enough after her about last time. Max was almost falling asleep on her table when a ball of paper appeared on it. She started and frowned before looking back. Nobody seemed to feel guilty, except Jane who was looking in her direction. Max opened the paper and blushed of embarrassment when she saw the drawing. It was two stick persons, a girl and a guy. The girl was sucking the guy, and there were two arrows pointing at them with written "Ugly face" and "Gary". Max angrily closed her fist, crumpling the paper. She turned again to Jane but noticed that Alban and two of his friends were snickering. She was sure Jane showed them the drawing before throwing it on her table. It was pathetic.
After the class, Max told Bev to go without her. She wanted to face Jane, to make her understand that she wasn't scared of her.
- "You think it's funny!?" Max replied, stopping Jane on her way.
The brunette frowned and took the paper to look at it.
- "Yeah, it is!"
- "And you're proud of you!"
- "I said it was funny, I've never said it was me!"
- "Oh yeah!? And who else!?"
- "I'm apparently not the only one who has a problem with you. Did you accuse someone of something they didn't do recently?" Jane asked rhetorically.
- "You're an idiot! I'm tired of your shit! I know this is your drawing!"
Jane squinted and leaned her head. She grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil and began to draw something. A few seconds later, she showed a drawing with details, too much details. Max recognized herself and Gary with no struggle.
- "You can keep it. As a reminder or if you're bored one day," Jane said with a provoking tone.
The brunette grabbed the other drawing, pinched Max's nose to force her to open her mouth, and shoved the paper inside her mouth before closing it by pushing her jaw.
- "Bon appétit, Dumbo!"
Max pushed Jane away before spitting the piece of paper on Jane's face.
- "What the fuck!?" Jane got angry.
The brunette grabbed Max by her jacket and blocked her against, using her body to press hers. Max's breathing became faster and her heart was racing. She could feel the heat of Jane's body travelling hers. The hot air of Jane caressing her skin gave the redhead goosebumps.
- "Step back!" Max ordered, gritting her teeth.
- "Why!? You're scared, Dumbo!?"
- "Just step back!"
Max brutally pushed Jane away before slapping her. Jane was about to replicate, but Max kicked her knee and ran away from the classroom. She heard some loud "booms" coming the room and was glad to not be inside anymore.
When Max saw Jane again, it was at the pool. She was in the water while the brunette was sitting on a bench next to it, bandages around her hands. She apparently punched the walls in the classroom. This girl had a real problem. Well, Max had already punched walls too, to not explode. But it was different, Max was sane contrary to Jane.
- "Hey, Ugly face! Did you like my drawing?"
Max started, lost in her thoughts about Jane, and turned her head to see Alban with a proud smile on his face.
