The hospital let go Jane after five days. Cassandra was the only one who stayed. Joyce and Hopper made a round trip to bring Cassandra her car. Now, they could go back home. They bought some burgers before driving away. Jane slept almost the entire way, still feeling tired. The woman didn't stop smiling. If she wasn't driving, she would be holding her niece in her arms to be sure she wouldn't leave her ever again.

After seven hours of ride, Cassandra stopped the car. She gently shook her niece who opened her eyes with difficulty. The brunette looked around and recognized the place. She understood why they were here. They got out of the car and went to the door. Jane knocked. When the door opened, Beverly jumped in her arms.

- "I'm so happy you're okay!" Bev said.

- "Yeah, me too."

The two girls tightened the hug. Jane didn't hold her smile and leaned to Bev's ear to tell her:

- "You know that without you I wouldn't be here today?"

- "What do you mean?" Bev sniffed.

- "You taught me how to swim and how to not panic under water. You saved me, once again."

- "Thank you. Are you staying?"

- "No, not today. I wanna go home."

- "Sure. I'm happy you visited me."

Bev broke the hug and kissed Jane's cheek before letting her go. The redhead would have a peaceful night, finally. Jane and Cassandra returned on the road to go back home this time. Once again, when Jane opened the door, she was welcomed by a tight hug. Mallory had been waiting for her return the entire day. It seemed endless.

- "I missed you," Mallory said after breaking the hug.

Jane weakly smiled, still tired. She took Lana in her arms and hugged her too. She missed her too. She wanted to be a good godmother with her.

A few minutes later, Jane was sitting in the couch next to Mallory, a movie on the TV and her cat on her lap. She couldn't stop thinking about Max. She was wondering if she was still having feelings for her. Mallory and Cassandra both noticed that Jane was preoccupied and smiled to each other.

- "If you wanna visit her, you just need to ask," Cassandra softly said.

- "What?" Jane frowned.

- "Max. I can see that you're preoccupied because of her."

- "Oh, uh...I'm just wondering if she is okay."

- "She hasn't come to work since...well, you disappeared. Beverly told me she wasn't answering her phone either. Nobody has news," Mallory explained.

- "Oh..."

- "Get ready, I'm driving you," the aunt said.

- "You don't mind?"

- "No. You're back now, it's all I need to know. And we can't let her longer being sad like that."

Jane had a relieved smile on her face and quickly got out of the couch to get ready. When she got out of her room, she looked around before asking:

- "Um, I thought they had found my jacket. They kept it?"

- "No. Max did."

- "Oh, okay. Then I guess I'm ready."

- "Do you spend the night with her?" Cassandra asked.

- "If she wants it, yeah, I would like to."

- "Cool, let's go."

Jane kissed Lana and Mallory, took her bag, and left the apartment with her aunt. A few minutes later, Cassandra parked in the street near Max's building. She kissed Jane's cheek and asked her to send her a message when she was inside the apartment. Jane smiled and got out of the car. She arrived in front of Max's door and knocked. No one answered. Jane knocked louder and said loudly:
