TW: severe bullying, physical abuse (cigarette burns, cuts, and bruises, etc.), depression and feelings of weakness, self-blame, forced smoking
AN: Writer's block, so here's a draft from February. I might rewrite this one someday because I don't like how it turned out, hence why it was in the drafts for so long.

Tommy stared at his ceiling, praying that he'd get sick, there'd be a snow day, or perhaps, the whole school would just burn down. He laid in his bed for ten minutes before Phil came to check on him.

"Toms, it's time to get up!" Phil was too cheerful for it to be a Monday morning. Tommy groaned in response.

"Do I have to go?" The blond knew the answer. If he wasn't sick, he had to go. If Phil knew the real reason he hated school-

He hadn't told Phil that he was being bullied yet, and he wasn't going to now.

"Are you sick?" Tommy shook his head. "Then, you have to go. I'm sorry, I know Mondays suck." His dad kissed him on the top of the head before leaving to get his brothers up.

He dragged himself out of bed. He thumped down the stairs and joined his brothers at the breakfast table. "Morning," Techno mumbled to him before handing him a plate of pancakes. Wilbur returned the greeting while Tommy simply huffed.

He finished his breakfast quickly and packed all of his things. He had a few minutes to spare, so he used that time to beg Phil to let him stay home.

Unlucky for him, Phil was adamant he went to school. And so, the Sleepy Bois loaded into the car and took off. Tommy found himself in front of hell on Earth- er, school, too quickly.

He stood outside the school for a minute, wondering if he should just skip today. In that minute, he locked eyes with Dream across the courtyard and flinched.

Dream was surrounded by his friends; he was laughing until he noticed Tommy. He smirked at the Brit's flinch. He mouthed a promise and sneakily flipped him off before he turned back to his friends, laughing at some joke Sapnap made.

Tommy fled the scene and made it to his first period class without many problems. The first few periods were always uneventful, the calm before the storm, because Dream wasn't in his classes. Lunch was the real problem. There, all the upper classmen were allowed to mingle without much supervision.

In that time, Dream always excused himself to go to the bathroom before dragging Tommy into a corridor with him. He'd harass Tommy for a few minutes before being cut off by the bell or returning to his friends.

And today was no different. When Dream approached Tommy's table, Tommy stared motionlessly at the table and studied every detail. He pretended to not hear Dream call for him until Dream came up and tapped him on the shoulder. He flinched.

"I need to talk to Tommy a second, boys." Techno and Wilbur nodded, not bothering to look up from their conversation. Tommy wished they would see the fear in his eyes and the shakiness in his legs, but they never did. Tubbo waved, and Fundy shouted for him to be back soon. He faked a smile for his friends before walking down the corridor with Dream.

"Did you really think you could ignore me like that?" Tommy looked down in shame. Dream pushed him. "Answer me!"

"No." His voice wobbled. He hated how weak he sounded.

Dream hit Tommy hard on the jaw and punched him on the shoulder. He shoved him against the brick wall before twisting his arm behind his back. He pulled out a lighter and teased the flame at the end of Tommy's shirt before lighting a cigarette.

"Smoke," Dream ordered before forcing a cigarette between Tommy's lips. He refused and held his breath for as long as he could. A minute passed, and finally, he had to breathe.

Smoke filled his lungs, and he choked on the poisonous air. He shoved Dream away, the cigarette falling out of his mouth. He coughed hard and sucked in air.

Dream sighed before picking up the cigarette. "Lift up your shirt," he ordered. Tommy shakily said no. Dream repeated his order with a snarl. Tommy didn't move, so Dream yanked his shirt up.

"This is what you get." Tommy screamed as the hot cigarette butt burnt his side. Dream lifted off, and he felt a small relief. Dream laughed before pushing the cigarette back down. Tommy tried to pull away, but Dream was too strong.

Dream stopped once he had ten small circular burns on his side. He was about to do more damage when the bell rang. He muttered a promise of future torment before stalking off to class.

Tommy stiffly pulled his shirt down and made it to class. He winced whenever one of his burns brushed up against his shirt. He thought about stopping in the bathroom but decided better. He didn't want to see the wounds his weakness had caused him. Instead, he walked to his math class.

Tubbo waved to him, and he took a seat next to the brunette. He placed his head on the desk before letting out a sigh.

"What's wrong, Big Man?" Tubbo asked him.

"Nothing." He burrowed his head into his sleeve and groaned. He disliked math, and he hated school, and he loathed Dream. He wanted to go home, cuddle up in a nice blanket, and never have to worry about Dream ever again.

But he didn't tell his best friend that. He muttered some half-assed excuse about not getting enough sleep, and Tubbo deemed it reasonable. He hated lying to his friend, but if he said anything, Dream would hurt Tubbo. He couldn't let that happen. He'd take a bullet for his best friend.

Once the bell rang, Tommy went to text Phil that school was over. He patted his pockets before asking his friend if he had seen his phone; the boy hadn't. He frantically checked all of his pockets. Nothing. He couldn't find it.

"Don't worry! I'm sure it'll turn up!" Tubbo said enthusiastically. Tommy wished to share some of that hope. He knew exactly where his phone was, but he hoped he was wrong.

It was with Dream, and who knew what the hell he was doing with it. Tommy shuddered at the thought.
