"Techno!" Phil called. "You're driving Tommy to school today!" Technoblade groaned and buried his head in his hands. He heard the telltale patter of his younger brother's feet and opened his eyes to find Tommy standing in his bedroom doorway. Techno glared at Tommy, who stood meekly with his arms crossed in front of his chest.

"Don't make me late," Techno growled. Tommy scampered off to get ready. Techno got ready, too. He slammed his door shut, changed his clothes, and swung his backpack onto his back.

He stomped through the kitchen, not waiting to check if Tommy was ready. He stalked to the garage, slammed the door behind him, and got in the car. He waited a minute or two before blaring the horn. A bedraggled Tommy sprinted into the garage with his breakfast and his book bag in hand.

Techno held up his hand and said, "Don't get crumbs in my car." Tommy nodded and stuffed his breakfast into his mouth. Techno groaned as he started the car and turned the music on as loud as it could go. As he pulled out of the garage, he saw Tommy nod to the song out of the corner of his eye, so he turned the radio off. Tommy stiffened and shrunk into his seat. He turned to face the window. Neither one said a word.

They pulled up to school fifteen minutes later. Techno parked his car. Tommy sat there for a minute and opened his mouth to say something.

"Get out," Techno cut him off. Tommy nodded with fear in his eyes. He slid out of the car quickly and took his backpack. Techno laid his head on the steering wheel and huffed. He hated school, and there was so much shit going on in his life. He felt bad for projecting it onto Tommy, but he couldn't help it. Or so he told himself.

Tommy sprinted into school, determined to find Tubbo as quick as possible. He grimaced when he saw Tubbo standing with Ranboo, chatting up a storm. He turned and walked the other way before Tubbo could see him.

Tommy confined himself to the library: a place where no one would look for him or try to talk to him. He waited there until the bell rang, and then he moved on throughout his day silent and alone. He didn't have any classes alone with Tubbo besides his last class. Ranboo was in all of the other classes they had together. Ranboo took all of Tubbo's attention, and that left Tommy third-wheeling. Tommy was proud to say he made it all the way to lunch without fist fighting the taller boy.

Lunch finally arrived. As he walked to the cafeteria slightly behind Tubbo and Ranboo, Tommy saw Techno marching through the halls. He half-waved. Techno turned away from him and turned down a different hallway. Tommy frowned. He knew Techno, a junior, didn't have any classes in the senior hallway but tried to ignore that fact. He shook his head and caught up with Tubbo and Ranboo, who hadn't even noticed him lagging behind.

When they got to the cafeteria, they found only two spots open at their usual table. Tommy looked between Tubbo and Ranboo. They stood there awkwardly until Tommy sighed.

"I've got to go. You know, uhm, have fun and all that." He sprinted away before Tubbo could say anything. He ran to the bathrooms and locked himself in a stall. How had this day gone so terribly, horribly wrong? He just wanted it to be over.

Tommy stayed in the bathrooms for the last four periods of the day. The end of the day came quickly, and Tommy texted Techno. "Are you taking me home?" he asked. Techno opened it and didn't respond for three painstakingly long minutes.

"No." Tommy sighed. He pushed his hair out of his face and finally left the bathroom. He walked towards the bus. The bus ride took an hour as opposed to a fifteen minute drive, but Tommy didn't mind all that much. It was much better than having to ride in tense silence with Techno driving.
