After walking for a good 20 minutes, Escanor finally breaks the silence.

Escanor: "So where is Balmung, if you don't mind me asking?"

(Y/N): "I don't really know for sure, I can just feel the general area. We'll find it eventually."

We walk and walk until we reach the mountains.

(Y/N): "Alright hop on."

Escanor: "Hop onto what?"

(Y/N): "My back. You can't climb this it's not nearly close enough to morning."

He climbs onto my back and I extend a tendril from the top left of my back and attach it to my lower right side. I do thus for the other side so Escanor is strapped in with an x shape.

Escanor: "Y-You know, we could just go around or try to find another way up, right?"

(Y/N): "No time."

I start climbing the mountain as fast as I possibly can, causing Escanor to scream the whole way up. After about 5 minutes of climbing we are finally to the top on the mountain.
I survey the area, find the direction of the pulse, and get a running start.

Escanor: "N-No! Please don't!"

I charge off the end, forming my arms into wing shapes to help me glide down the mountain. Again, Escanor screaming the whole way.

I have to jump off a rock several times to keep us from landing, but eventually we make it to the bottom.
When I let Escanor go, he plops to the ground and shudders like he's freezing.

(Y/N): "Escanor come on, it's not that bad. You weren't in danger for a moment."

As expected though, he takes his time to stop shuddering . . . And then to slooowwwly get up.

(Y/N): "Alright, it's right this way!"

We continue heading towards the pull area for what feels like hours.
Actually, it was hous as the next time I check on Escanor he has a bit of muscle on him. Not much, but it's beginning.

We finally reach a cave, and the pull emanates strongly from there.
Escanor hops off my back and is almost as tall as me now, so I look back and sure enough, the Sun is starting to peek over the land.

Escanor: "I'll keep watch out here, while you find your weapon."

(Y/N): "Keep watch for what?"

Escanor: "Oh right, the 10 Commandments are taking over . . . Well, basically everything. The rest of the group said to meet them in a week at The Kingdom of Liones, regardless of whether you wake up or not. That was five days ago, so once you get this thing we should- No, we will get a move on."

(Y/N): "Got it. I'll hurry"

I head into the cave, and can't see anything. I come back out and grab a branch from a tree and take my tattered Pajamas from my pocket. I wrap the tatters around the top of the stick, and head over to Escanor.

(Y/N): "Could you-"

He snaps his fingers which causes a spark to fly onto the Pajamas, making a torch.

(Y/N): "Thanks."

I head back into the cave, and quickly come to a fork. I feel a slightly stronger pull to the right, so I head there.

Suddenly the pull is completely gone, and I feel a familiar presence. Melascula.

(Y/N): "What does it take to get rid of you?"

I turn around to face her, but all I'm facing is a wall. When I turn back to the tunnel, I'm met with another wall.

(Y/N): "Okay Melascula, just come out and fight already. I'm already tired of this game."

Nothing.

I look in every direction, and see a wall.i punch it as hard as I can, but all I manage is a small crack.
I turn to another wall, and am met with a crack in the same spot. I look up, and there's a crack in the same spot. I start punching as hard as I can to the wall on my right while watching the wall to the top of me, but I just can't hit it.
I move my head to look at it, and it's close enough that I should've hit it with every punch. I move my hand out and I don't even have to straighten my arm much to reach it.

I start punching it furiously, and I go at it for what feels like ten minutes, but it just won't break. I look back to the ceiling, and it has the exact same cracks on it. I move to hit the wall to my left, but feel nothing. I look at it, same thing that happened on the right side. I barely need to extend my elbow.

I look at the ceiling, and punch at the right. This time before I look, I don't lower my arm. I turn my head to the right, and the wall is further than before. Its past my arm, just out of my reach.

(Y/N): "Melascula!"

No response. Is she even here? I swear I feel her presence . . .

I look forward and start walking backwards, but I never hit a wall. Exited, I turn to run that way, but smash face first into the same wall.

I turn my back to the wall again and start walking backwards. I go until I trip and fall down a deep hole, smashing into the bottom.

Melascula: "Hello, (Y/N)."

I turn to punch Melascula, but there's nothing there. Not even a wall, thankfully.

All I see is Balmung. I walk over to pick it up, but Melascula floats down in front of me.

(Y/N): "Neat trick with The wall, where did you learn that?"

Melascula: "Why should I tell you, you stupid wolf?"

I stand there for a minute, waiting for her to make a move, but she never does anything.

(Y/N): "Hello? Did you pass out or something?"

She slowly dissapears into a mist.

(Y/N): "Melascula?"

No response. I still feel her presence, but It's not the same, it feels more . . . Welcoming. It slowly starts to feel less like Melascula and more like how it used to feel when I used to hold Balmung. I reach over and grab it, and I already feel more powerful.

Was Melascula ever even here? No, how would she know to come here . . .? But I swear I felt her, right? Maybe the cave is just weird? Maybe?

Rocks start falling all around me, and I put up an Absorbing Sheild to cover my head. I watch as everything falls around me, but I never feel anything hit my shield. When the dust clears, the wall is back. I raise Balmung to stab into it, but just as I shoot my arm forward to hit it, it vanishes just like Melascula. Right where it was is a hole, and when I walk out of it, Escanor is standing there.

(Y/N): "Did you go all the way around?"

Escanor: "I told you I would stand guard here at the entrance, so that's what I did. Do I look like someone who would lie?"

But then . . . How was he here? I look around and see the same tree I broke the branch off of.

(Y/N): "Did you hear the cave collapse?"

Escanor: "I didn't hear anything."

I look back into the cave, but it looked the same as it did when I entered originally.

(Y/N): "How long was I in there?"

Escanor: "About 4 minutes."
