IN order to avoid the awkward position of being left with only Pacey as company during the Leery's weekly movie nights, and to help integrate her new friend into Capeside, Heather had invited Andie. She'd also extended the invitation to Jen (who was still avoiding all things Dawson and Joey, especially after kissing the boy when she was drunk at the docks) and Jack who was touched but had to stay home and keep an eye on their mother.

With the homecoming dance coming up the following weekend, Dawson had brought home a selection of dance themed movies to marathon through and no one was more pleased with his choice of Footloose than Andie who danced along to the namesake song "Oh, my God, I love Footloose."

"We can see that." Heather chuckled as she sat on the floor, the space usually reserved for Pacey now covered by Andie's jacket as the boy propped himself up against Dawson's headboard while the hopelessly in love couple lounged at the end of the bed.

Andie beamed as she looked to the group who were quickly warming up to the excitable girl "Don't you guys love to dance?"

"Oh, I don't dance." Pacey held up his hands as Joey and Dawson chimed in with similar ideas.

The McPhee girl rolled her eyes but turned to Heather and pulled her up "Surely you love to dance?"

"I do." She laughed as the blonde shook her about to the music "I take it you're excited for the Homecoming dance next weekend?"

"I cannot wait!"

Pacey scoffed as he looked between them "The Homecoming dance. My God, we're hanging out with Marcia Brady."

"I don't understand." Andie looked to Heather in confusion "What's wrong with the school dance?"

"I think what Pacey's saying is we're not exactly the school dance type." Dawson tried to help as he switched off the tv.

Joey nodded "Yeah, we'd rather watch a movie about a high school dance than actually set foot inside an over-decorated gym."

"In fact, this indictment of high school conventions isn't just really limited to dances. It kind of covers the whole spectrum of school-sponsored events." Pacey smirked "Joey, how many football games have you attended."

"None."

"And Dawson, how many pep rallies have you loyally attended?"

"Zero."

Pacey looked to Heather who rolled her eyes "And what about you, Leery? Oh, that's right, you're practically their leader now."
