TRUE LOVE
...🛶...
WALKING side-by-side, Heather and Jen once again ignored the leering stares of the male population in the hallowed halls of Capeside High as the blonde questioned in amusement "How's the auction going?"
"Great." Heather pursed her lips "Someone bid $500."
Jen's eyes widened in surprise "Wow, that's great."
"It is..." Heather hesitated as they came to a stop and she face the girl "but, they stipulated that the kiss comes from you."
"No way." Jen protested with a shake of her "I'm not selling myself."
"I understand." Heather nodded, giving her puppy dog eyes "But you'll have to be the one to tell the CCHPC."
The blonde frowned "The what?"
"The Capeside County Home for Parentless Children."
"Orphans? That's— that's what the auction is for?" Jen stammered "Orphans?"
Heather nodded, holding back a smug smile as she watched Jen's resolve falter "All the Annie's and Oliver's of Capeside."
"Oh God." Jen sighed in defeat "Fine. You coming to lunch?"
"I wish." Heather sighed as the bell rang "I have to face the wrath of Principal Green first."

HEATHER'S knee bounced anxiously as she sat in front of Principal Green's desk, her fingers fidgeting together as she waited for the man to return. But a hand on her thigh soon had her freeze before her gaze lifted to the boy beside her "Will you chill out, we barely did anything wrong."
"We were truant, Pacey." She snapped "That's not exactly right."
The Witter boy sighed as he relaxed back in his chair "Leery, last year you voluntarily got suspension in aide of protesting the backwards teaching of a bully without batting an eye, but skipping a few classes has your panties in a twist?"
Heather scoffed, folding her arm across her chest "Don't talk about my panties, Witter."
"Yes, please, don't." Principal Green's voice was monotone as he lugged a large cardboard box inside, dropping it behind the teens "That's a whole 'nother ream of paperwork."
Pacey cleared his throat "So uh, what's the deal here? Saturday detention? An essay on the fruitless future that high school truancy has to offer?"
