THANKSGIVING

...🛶...

THANKSGIVING was a time for family to get together and celebrate and for Heather, that included her mother who had moved back to Capeside, taking up temporary residence in their guest room.

"You know, when I suggested that I go out with you today this isn't exactly what I had in mind."

Heather sighed at Pacey's words, leading the boy around the grocery store "I know. But my mom wants to ensure her contribution to thanksgiving at Grams is top notch." She looked to the note Gail given her and her nose scrunched "Oyster stuffing? Gross mom."

"I'm afraid I think I have to attend thanksgiving at my parents." Pacey shrugged at her look "I figured it's probably the right thing to do, seeing as they brought me into the world and all."

"Gee, you sound so excited." She mumbled sarcastically.

Pacey sighed "Well, it's such a joyous occasion. Just imagine it: the Witter women slaving over a hot stove all afternoon just to be told that the butterball is too dry, and this coming from a guy who's been sitting on his derrière all day getting drunk and watching football."

"Well, if you change your mind, you can still come to Jen's..." Heather suggested, going back to the shopping.

"You know, we haven't really had the chance to talk." He pressed up behind her, pushing her hair away from her neck as he placed a kiss on her exposed skin "About us... our multiple, heart racing, palm sweating, firework inducing kisses."

Heather sighed and turned to the boy "Pacey—"

"Hey."

The pair jumped, looking over in surprise to see Andie with a shopping basket hooked on the crook of her arm "Hey..."

"I'm cooking for Jack and our dad tomorrow." Andie smiled before looking between Heather and Pacey "What are uh, you two doing together?"

"Shopping." Heather held up her list awkwardly "My family's going to Jen's for Thanksgiving."

Andie nodded "And uh, you Pacey?"

"I'm..." he glanced to Heather "I'm staying at home."

"Great." Andie chirped before blinking "I mean, uh, it's right to be with family on holidays."

...🛶...

THE next day, with Gail's homemade pumpkin pies and oyster stuffing in hand, the Leery's and the Potter sister's had come together at Mrs. Ryan's with a surprise guest: Jen's mother.
