TO BE OR NOT TO BE...

...🛶...

STANDING in her brothers room, Heather admired the miniature scaled model of Capeside Jack had created at Dawson's request. Who knew the boy was so handy with a glue gun?

"I can't believe you made this whole thing by yourself." Pacey muttered in awe as he looked over it, peering over Heather's shoulder where his chin rested.

Heather nodded, giving the McPhee boy a smile "It really is incredible, Jack."

"Thanks." He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, flushing at the compliments "I'm not completely done, though. I mean, I still have this whole back section to paint."

"I-I am truly impressed and—and grateful." Dawson stammered.

Jack chuckled "I'm still a little unclear, though, as to why you wanted this. You're not gonna like blow it up or anything, are ya?"

"No, there's no asteroids in my movie." Dawson was amused "It's for aerial shots, establishing. You get the right lens and the right light, and you've got the perfect, quaint creekside village."

"It's amazing what a little camera trickery can do." Pacey mused, absentmindedly squeezing Heathers hips as he separated from her before grabbing his jacket and backpack "Well, if you guys excuse me I have a ton of homework to do. Including Peterson's creative writing assignment, which I haven't even started yet."

Jack sighed heavily "Yeah, I haven't either."

"I've been trying for a week." Heather groaned, rubbing her forehead at the thought of the poem she had yet to write.

"Pacey Witter is leaving early to do homework." Dawson scoffed in disbelief "Ha! It's slightly less believable than an Enquirer headline."

Pacey rolled his eyes and smiled "Oh yeah, it's a disgusting habit."

As Pacey saluted and took his exit, Heather sighed "I should really go work on my poem, too."

The Leery girl said goodbye to the boys before heading out into the hall, but before she could make it very far, Jack called out to her "Heather, wait up."

She paused and turned back to him curiously "Yeah?"

"Feel free to say no, because, I uh, I know things are weird between you and Andie right now..." he sighed heavily "But can I ask you a personal question?"
