BLANK CANVAS
...🛶...
WITH Dawson already at school before dawn to begin the official first day of filming his movie, Pacey had been roped into giving Heather a ride. As the Leery girl got changed in her closet, Pacey flipped through a magazine "You know, according to this months Jane I can have the butt I always wanted in 3 weeks."
"Pacey, I've seen your photocopied butt, remember?" Heather popped her head out with an amused smirk "I'd say you have nothing to worry about."
"Oh really?" He grinned smugly before making his way over her full length mirror, turning his back to the reflection as he peered over his shoulder "I tell ya, it's no wonder we have such an obsession with the posterior. It's impossible to get a good sense of one's own butt, you know?"
Heather snorted as she made her way out of the closet, dressed for the day ahead "Pacey, stop checking out your butt in the mirror."
"Why, do you wanna have a look?" He teased, wiggling it towards her for emphasis, grinning when the sound of her laugh reached his ears "Now, I showed you mine, it's only fair you show me yours."
"Nice try." Heather shoved him playfully as she sat down on the edge of her bed to slip on her shoes.
"I do agree with you though. This butt belongs in the hall of fame." Pacey complimented himself, giving his backside one last squeeze before snapping his fingers and clapping his hands together absentmindedly as he peered around her room. But his eyebrows furrowed as he spotted what Joey once had before. Her art supplies tucked away in her closet. "You ever gonna take this up again? I kinda miss seeing you covered in paint."
Heather glanced to the topic in question before quickly tearing her eyes away "Nah, I wasn't that into it anyway."
"Yeah, right!" Pacey scoffed "I distinctly remember you dunking my head in the creek because I accidentally spilt water on your painting of your Sunshine Care Bear."
"It was Bedtime Bear." She scowled before clearing her throat "But that was a long time ago, Pacey."
The Witter boy frowned before gesturing to the blank spaces around her walls and shelves "Okay, and your photos? Your certificates? Practically everything in your room is shoved into a box in your closet."
Heather got to her feet "Drop it, Pacey."
"No." He grabbed ahold of her arm as she tried to make a break for the door "Why are you hiding it?"
"Because he saw everything!" She snapped as she was spun to face him "He touched it, he knew my life Pacey. He got everything about me from one look and decided he wanted to kill me." Her eyes filled with tears as she tossed her arms up tiredly, looking around her bedroom. Or rather, what was left of it. "It just... doesn't feel like it's mine anymore. Nothing in this room does. It's not safe."
