HOMECOMING HEARTBREAK

THE fundraising party was a huge success and Dawson had more than enough cash to fix their fathers boat, and not to mention caused a sky-rocket into Dawson and Pacey's popularity. But the day following the bash was not as successful, not with Mitch returning home a day early after the hotel needed exterminated. Not to mention Joey had thrown herself at Dawson in an attempt to rekindle their romance after their months apart. But Dawson said no, leaving the Potter girl to cry in Heather's arms once again.
But Heather had other things on her mind. Like Andie. Whom she was finally getting to pick up and bring home. Pacey had agreed to drive her on account of Dawson needing their car to finish grabbing some last minute footage of the Minutemen for the opening pep rally video montage that evening.
And as per Heather Leery's usual luck, a problem had arose.
"Andie McPhee is scheduled to be released tomorrow, not today."
"That's why it's a surprise." Heather sighed in frustration as she looked to the Mayfield receptionist "Her father was supposed to arrange it."
The petite woman put her hands on her hips "Well, he didn't and we try to avoid surprises. The only way she leaves today is with her own, written consent."
"Well, I could get it if you'd just let me walk in the door and talk to her." Heather tossed her arms up.
"And that will be tomorrow morning at 9 am when visiting hours resume. Not a minute earlier."
The Leery girl groaned "You gotta be kiddin' me."
"Does this look like a face that kids?" She raised an eyebrow.
"Not at all." Heather grumbled before turning on her heels in defeat and heading back to the car.
Pacey watched as the girl stormed towards him, his feet dangling off the front of the truck "What's wrong?"
"Well, the clinic doesn't allow visitors after hours and since Mr. McPhee forgot to inform the clinic of Andie's early departure, I can't get in to get her permission to take her home." Heather raked her hands through her hair "I just... I want to see her."
Pacey thought for a moment before hopping to the ground and grabbing her hand "Come on, Leery."
Heather raised an eyebrow but allowed the boy to drag her back towards the building "Pacey, what crazy idea do you have now?"
