You didn't know how long you had been running, you didn't care how much your lungs were burning and how much your legs and chest were hurting. All you wanted was to find your friends, nothing else mattered. Nothing, not even the pleas of your exhausted body.

In your panic, you could only see what was really in front of you, your eyes paid no attention to the demons screaming, running or crying for their lives. Although your ears heard their desperate pleas, and the sound of their flesh tearing under the spears of the the exterminators who mercilessly slaughtered them, it was not enough to distract you from their goal. You had to find your friends, no matter what it took. You had already lost them once, you were not going to lose them again.

You couldn't bear that pain again.

Some exterminators cracked the bones of their long necks towards you, some looked puzzled behind their masks, others didn't lose their evil smiles, quite the contrary, their masks lit up with a bright red light that many sinners feared.

One of them blocked your way with a sadistic smile and prepared for battle.

Without thinking, you ran at him with an empty expression, quickly dodged his spear and snatched the sacred object from his hands before kicking him away and continuing your run to the Orso bar, leaving him on the ground and confused.

You didn't bother stopping to admire his reaction, you got rid of the spear a little further on, you already had some grenades that Boris had given you, your knife and your gun. That was more than enough and less bulky.

You took the small streets to be easily less visible to the black angels and arrived a little faster at your destination.

Unfortunately you forgot that some demons were also going to try this tactic to try to escape from the exterminators. It took no less than 2 minutes for a demon bigger than you to push yourself against a wall.

Your head slammed hard against the brick, stunning you on the spot.

"Oh shit, it's the white wolf, run! "screamed another demon who was with him.

Your legs were still weak because of the shock to your skull, but the adrenaline in your body kept you awake.

Luckily this blow helped you to get out of the state of panic you were in at the time. You blinked with difficulty and looked at the narrow streets around you.

Garbage cans were on fire, corpses and body parts were lying on the ground along with several black feathers.

This was enough to warn you that the streets were not safe either.

You massaged your head in an attempt to regain some composure in the face of the horror of the situation, but the smell of death and blood was simply foul. It was a real massacre.

Suddenly you saw two black figures in the distance. You squinted your eyes to try to see who they were, and your heart pounded in your chest when you recognized the faces of two exterminators.

Fuck...

You immediately started to run for your second life, ignoring the pain in your head.

Unfortunately a horrible sound of synchronized footsteps alerted you immediately. You pulled out your weapon and decided to run as little as possible to avoid revealing your position.

You hid behind a trash can and looked up to see if the exterminators had spotted you from above. Thank you Lucifer, no one was above you.

Nevertheless, the abominable sound of heavy footsteps mixed with the squeaking sound of an armor were enough to force you not to let your guard down.
