The Hand of Fatima is also known as the Hamsa (Hebrew) or Khamsa (Arabic) meaning "five". It is a Middle Eastern symbol that is as ancient as it is powerful. It is used as a protective charm to ward off the Evil Eye and grants its wearer protection, strength and power.

It is named after the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Fatima Al-Zahra. She was pure and without sin and so therefore the charm draws energy from her power.
