Kinda dirty. You've been warned.
Ricky unlocked the door to his flat, but it was jammed. How could this day have gotten any worse? It was his birthday, yet today was the worst day of his life. He was stuck in a traffic jam for two hours. Somehow, no one at school remembered his birthday, not even his students. This morning when he woke up, Nini didn't even make him breakfast and left him with a box of Cheerios. Then at lunch, he got smashed in the face with Sloppy Joes, his least favorite food. On the way home, Ricky got into another traffic jam. He really wanted this day to end. His 27th was supposed to be fun, not terrible.
After the third try, Ricky pulled out a hairpin from his bag and tried the age old trick. Works every time, he grinned for the first time that day.
When he got in, the place was oddly quiet. Normally, Nini would've been blasting music from the radio all over. Today, she was standing in the kitchen baking or cooking something.
Ricky snuck up behind his wife and greeted her with a kiss on the cheek. "Hello, beautiful," he said. Nini was so surprised she accidentally threw the box of flour all up in the air and it landed on Ricky's head. "Son of a Bowen! What are you doing home this early?"
Ricky wiped some of the flour from his face. "Couldn't I just come home early to see my beautiful wife? Also, today was the worst. You won't believe what happened. At lunch, I crashed into a kid who splattered sloppy Joe all over my face. Then, I got stuck in traffic for two hours, which the principal almost fired me for. Somehow, no one can remember what today is. It's something very important, which I'm pretty sure everyone forgot."
Nini looked around nervously and wiped some of the flour from his face. "Sorry about that. Hey, Ricky, I have something to show you, can you come into our room for a moment?"
Ricky nodded. "Yeah, sure." She led him to their room. "What's in here?" he asked. But Nini was already gone. "Nini! Is this a prank because it's not funny!" He checked the door, but it was locked. Ricky scoured the room for hairpins, but they were all gone. He banged on the door.
Nini was in the middle of planning a surprise party for Ricky, but he'd come home a little too early. Kourtney, Big Red, and all of her and Ricky's friends had come to help prepare.
She'd removed all of the hairpins from the room, knowing that he'd escape. They all put on the final decorations and turned off the lights.
Ricky finally managed to leave the room when he slid his debit card into the small space. "Neens? What's going on here? Why is it so dark?"
Suddenly, the lights turned on. "Happy birthday, Ricky!" all of his friends yelled.
He gasped. "Red! Ashlyn! Seb! Carlos! Kourtney! Gina! EJ! I thought you guys were in Salt Lake!"
"We wanted to come and surprise you, man," Big Red said. "Also, Nini invited us, and we just couldn't pass up the chance to come to a party."
Ricky had a lot of catching up to do. It had been quite a few years since he'd seen all of them. Ashlyn and Big Red now had a baby boy named Small Red, and Ricky was amazed at how much he looked like his dad. Carlos and Seb were engaged, Gina and EJ were still slowly but surely developing their relationship, and Kourtney? She was still single and fierce as ever.
The Small Red idea was based off from hsmtmts_rvd.
Ricky received a lot of presents, including a baby T-shirt from Red and Ash (for a possibly future addition), a stuffed plush collection of stuffed animals from Seblos, a giant trumpet from Portwell, and a random CD of High School Musical songs from Kourtney.
"I think this was more for Nini than me," Ricky said.
"Shut up, you both like it," Kourtney scoffed.
That night, Ricky caught up with all of his friends. Nini brought out the flourless chocolate cake—which still tasted delicious.
After the party, Nini had one final surprise for her husband.
"What are you doing in the closet so long?" Ricky asked impatiently.
"Just a moment, sweetie," she said. When she finally came out, Ricky's jaw dropped to the ground.
She was entirely naked, from top to bottom. "Neens, you look...wow," he said. But then he was concerned. "You know it's freezing, right?"
She laughed. "There's enough blankets to cover us in here. Besides, everyone's gone, and I felt like you deserved one last present."
Ricky could feel himself licking his lips. As Nini joined him on the bed, he ripped off his shirt. His fingers carefully trailed up her leg and onto her right nipple. He kissed her shoulder and sucked on her breast which made Nini leg out a blissful moan.
Soon, the two were completely and entirely undressed in bed. Nini leaned over and kissed Ricky's cheek. "You know, I planned the whole thing out. I actually told everyone in school to pretend to not remember you birthday. You'll be getting a big surprise tomorrow, I'll tell you that."
Ricky chuckled. "Did you plan for Emily Nguyen to bump into me and smash me in the face with Sloppy Joe?"
Nini grinned. "Trust me, hon, I planned all of that."
"Did you plan the traffic jam too?"
"Nah. That was just the daily rush."
Ricky leaned over and firmly planted a kiss on his wife's lips. "That's why I love you. Thanks for the best birthday ever, Nini."
The two fell asleep, still dreaming about adventures they might possibly have in the future.
You can bet the next morning, all of the staff at the school surprised Mr. Bowen.
Turns out I broke my own no smut rule. I've never really written dirty that much before, so this might be a little weird.
