I have the worst case of writers' block today, so I'm just posting this for fun.
drivers license: Me bothered about the nonexistent apostrophe and why it is all lowercase. So, a girl that is obsessed with rings has a boyfriend that she loves and he teaches her how to drive. He must've not been a very good teacher, because in the video, she is literally DRIVING with her eyes closed, she is driving in the MIDDLE of the road, she is dangling from the hood of her car, and she is walking ON THE STREETS in a neighborhood that clearly has sidewalks. Sooner or later, a car is going to hit her. So, she is a terrible driver and I have no idea how who even allowed this woman to get her license. Or why the boy who taught her even got his license.
When she finally gets her license, the boy has already run off with a "blonde girl," whom many speculate to be Maya Hart from GMW. The heartbroken girl then drives through the suburbs, crying and picturing she was driving to her ex's house. She really loves double negatives. There are some scenes in here that are absolutely bizarre, like why is she singing about heartbreak in a used car lot? Does that somehow signify her relationship with her ex?
Final verdict and summary: A teenager pours her heart and soul about how she still fucking loves someone in a used car lot.
Lie Lie Lie: At least Joshua even cared to capitalize his titles. I applaud him for that.
Set in the Old West or the 1970s, a grown man with anger issues and an obsession with rings sings about kissing some girl's ass goodbye. He loves flashy colors and also likes to dangle from car parts, this time a window instead of the car hood. If this is the guy who taught the heartbroken girl how to drive, I would understand that they're both terrible drivers and that they have a strange obsession with rings on their fingers.
Final verdict and summary: This video is about a totally normal grown man who has basically been singing about a perfect-on-paper-but-she's-lying-to-my-face girlfriend in the desert for almost the entire video.
Skin: Grown-up Maya Hart's rebuttal to "drivers license."
Maya Hart is telling the other heartbroken girl to back off because the guy is hers. She, unlike the others, does not have an obsession with rings. Now, she also loves to be extremely repetitive with all the "under my under my under my skins" she put in the song. Whether it's rainy, snowing, or stormy, she will stick with the guy. This song perfectly defines the "Stormy Weather, We Stick Together" motto. Also, she is a terrible driver too, as she is sitting on the hood of a car and not paying attention to the possible dangers behind her. I guess Maya Hart finally found her Josh, but not Josh Matthews.
Final verdict and summary: A grown-up Maya Hart is sticking together with a guy through any weather and telling another girl to back off.
Only A Matter of Time: The said grown man's sequel to "Lie Lie Lie."
The grown man, now equipped with a light beard, is talking about how someone has been lying to him and making their pain his. He knows they are hurting, but he thinks it's only a matter of time before the world figures out and exploits their lies. Cue mellow lighting and a train track, this guy's about to get run over.
Okay, so one thing I've noticed about all four of these music videos is that the performers always choose to sing in a weird location, such as a train track, a used car lot, etc. Joshua Bassett is about to get run over by a train because he's too busy singing about his woes and not paying attention to the potential dangers that lurk behind.
Final verdict and summary: A grown man doesn't pay attention to the fact that he is currently standing on a train track and is about to get run over because he's too busy singing about all of his sadness and woes about an ex-girlfriend.
So, I think that all of these singers, they're great. They're just all terrible drivers who like to pour out their heart and soul in bizarre locations. They also don't notice that they will get run over by something.
Hope y'all enjoyed!! Comments and votes are always appreciated.
