On Monday morning you meet me at the hotel
You bought me coffee just to spill it on yourself

"G'morning, Liv!" Josh exclaimed. "How was your night?"

"Great," she replied. "Got a lot of sleep."

"I brought you some coffee. Black as your soul coffee, your favorite."

Josh reached into the living room to hand it to her and suddenly tripped over his own feet, spilling the entire cup on his shirt. His unfortunate clothing choice today was a white button-down dress shirt, and Liv could see the large stains.

"Oh shoot, sorry. I have such big feet."

Liv suppressed a giggle. "No, it's okay," she said, waving it off. She grabbed a towel and wiped up the coffee spill on the floor. "There, no damage done."

Later, when he walked out of her apartment, Liv sneaked a note inside his jeans pocket. Unfortunately, the spot where he spilled his coffee earlier was still wet, and let's just say he took a pretty bad tumble on his way out. Liv mentally cursed herself for not putting up a CAUTION sign.

But you never take things seriously
It's kinda why I like you so much honestly

"Hey, Liv?"

"Yeah?"

"Knock knock."

"Who's there?"

"King Arthur."

"King Arthur who?"

"King Arthur and the knights of the round table."

Olivia shook her head. She had to admit that the joke was lame, but that was what she liked about Josh. He was never serious, and it was one of his most attractive qualities.

I wrote a note and left it folded in your pocket
You taped it to the wall of your New York apartment

When Josh got back to his place, he changed out of his jeans and found a small folded note inside the pocket.

Hey. Your friend Liv here. Would you like to go with me on a tour to see the Statue of Liberty and famous sights of New York? I know you're an LA-er, so I decided to show you 'round.

Lots of love,
Liv. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Friend?

No, friends don't sign notes with "love."

Or was it a New York thing?

Anyway, Josh grinned and taped the note lovingly to the wall of his apartment. He couldn't wait for that tour.

Kissing in the taxi cab
Till the driver gives us dirty looks back

Preston, the cab driver, did not expect two teenagers to be making out in the back of his cab on his Sunday.

He'd picked them up and might have taken a mental note at them holding hands, but he didn't pay any attention to it.

He glared at them from his seat, but they paid no attention.

This is what you get for being a taxi driver in New York. I hope these two pay extra, or I'm quitting.

This is l-o-v-e
Or something like that
You're crazy but not in a bad way
Dancing on the highway

"Back in LA, there's something called Crosswalk the Musical," Josh said eagerly.

"Let me guess, you dance and sing on a crosswalk?" Liv asked, her arms crossed and a smirk on her face.

"Here, I'll show you," Josh exclaimed. He waited until the traffic signs stopped at red on the busy New York highway. He then rushed out onto the middle of the road, pulling Liv along. "No no no no, stick to the stuff you-"

"Ah!" Liv exclaimed. The traffic lights had turned green. The two teens ran and dove for cover into a nearby bush when the cars started rushing for them.

"You're crazy, you know that," Liv panted, leaves in her hair. "We seriously could have gotten killed. It's a New York highway-"

She was cut off when two rough hands were on her cheeks and her lips were pressed to Josh's. When he finally let go, he grinned. "Feel better?"

You make me feel older than 17

"This is your first time?"

"Yep."

"I'll go easy on you."

They were both breathless at the end.

"Wow, that was...amazing. I feel so much older than 17, really."

Yeah this is l-o-v-e or something really close
Hey baby I think you're really dope
I honestly don't know why I should ever leave your side
Cause this is love, right?

"Hey, Josh?"

"What's up?" he asked the smaller brunette.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

If you don't know what Crosswalk the Musical is, please watch it.
