The world was calm, a lame Hallmark movie playing in the background as Ricky and Nini were cuddled in each other's arms. Out of pure boredom, she grabbed a ring off his finger and tried to put it on hers. "How many of these damn things do you own?"

"You gave me most of them," the curly-haired boy chuckled. "Why, what about it?"

"God, why doesn't this fit?" Nini groaned as his ring kept slipping off. Ricky chuckled at her agitated expression and tried to put one of her butterfly rings on his finger. "Yeah, I think this is stuck."

She burst out laughing. "I'm betting that it's going to take you at least an hour to get it off."

"Too late," Ricky grinned, even though his finger was red from trying too hard to remove it.

"Okay, what am I paying for? I have twenty dollars, Richard. I can't get dinner, but maybe some cake would be nice. Or I can rent Six from somewhere-"

"Just shut up and kiss me," he answered.

"Happily."

They turned their attention back to the TV, where whatever-their-names-were-called were engaged. "Speaking of rings, Ricky, do you think...we'll be like that someday?"

"I swear, I'm going to put a ring on your finger someday soon. Very soon. And I'll make sure it will fit perfectly."

"I get to pick the cake, don't I?"

"Whatever you want, darling," he smiled, pressing a kiss to her hand. "Whatever you want."

Let's just say Ricky stayed true to his promise.

I'm using this as an outlet to work on my "people skills," which I apparently do not acquire. School starts in nine days...pray for me.
