Yoru was a rift master.
His powers allowed him to rip open and dive through tears in the fabric of space and time. He made good use of his powers, using them to attack his enemies from their blind spots. Why need to attack from where his enemies could see him if he could just as easily attack them from where they can't see him?
So it was embarrassing to say that he couldn't find a way out of this strange new world.
He really needed to find a way back into his world. Or at least he needed to establish a stable line of comms with Brimstone.
Speaking of this new world, he hated it. Everything here was so bright and peppy.
He hated all of its inhabitants. Why did they get to live in comfort and happiness while the people in his world had to suffer because of the First Light?
Actually, he hated a lot of things, in both this world and his. If he spent time dwelling on all the things he hated, he'd die from old age before making it halfway down the list.
So he decided not to.
After many, many failed attempts of trying to open a portal back into his world, Yoru decided that he should probably try finding his fellow agents who went through his faulty rift. That wasn't as hard.
Thankfully, he had landed in Japan when being shot out of the rift. He knew the customs and language of this place, so making his way around wasn't too hard.
After a couple months of digging around, he had managed to find the start of a trail of bread crumbs that lead him to Spark.
One day, on his little hack he had run through Skype (a trick Killjoy had taught him), he had picked up on someone named "Firebird" sending a call to one of the residents in an apartment in the town he was in.
Firebird was Phoenix's code name.
It was a long shot, but it was one worth taking if it had potential of taking him to Spark and Jett.
It had been months since Yoru had gotten into any type of conflict save for beating up some fool who thought he was an easy prey for being robbed, so ducking in with his ult wasn't really an option. Plus, spiking his radianite levels would probably force him to get into a situation that will make getting to Spark harder, so he'd have to deal with infiltration the normal way.
It took a bit of time, but the apartment building was just a normal apartment building. Though he nearly got caught by a couple of janitors, it was a piece of cake for him to break in, nab the residential list, and get out without otherwise being seen.
Sitting on one of the benches in the park nearby, Yoru skimmed through the list, attempting to pick up on any familiar names.
At the bottom of the second to last page was a very, very familiar sounding name: Izuku Midoriya.
Where had he heard that name before? After looking through the list a couple more times, he went back to that name, Izuku Midoriya, and tried to remember where he had heard that name from.
That's when he realized that Izuku Midoriya was agent Spark's real name. He had forgotten it because he was so used to just calling him Spark.
He had found Spark.
A bit of cyberstalking later, Yoru found that Spark had actually talked with Phoenix and Jett once through the name "Cabbage_Head", Jett's nickname for him because of his hair color.
Satisfied with his work that day, he rented a room in a nearby apartment where he could monitor the entrance of Izuku's apartment building as well as the window into Izuku's room so that he could keep an eye on him.
