Izuku groans as he awakens from unconsciousness.
The first thing he was aware of was how...different he felt.
Usually, when he woke up, he woke up quickly. Ingrained in him was a natural sense of duty. He was used to quickly getting onto his feet and out onto the field.
This time though, he felt groggy. He didn't feel like moving any of his limbs and he couldn't summon the will to get off of what he was lying on, which was surprisingly soft. He didn't feel like moving from his current position.
Welp, I've gotta get up eventually, he thinks to himself. Might as well do it now.
Izuku cracks his eyes open to be met with the harsh glare of sunlight shining down on him through the tree leaves above. He squints as he sits up, covering his eyes from the bright sunlight with a hand.
Where am I?
He pats the ground with a hand and looks down to see that he was sitting on the ground, which was covered in brown and green leaves. All around him were trees in a clump dense enough to only allow a few rays of sunlight passage through them and to the ground. To his right was a sparkling, light blue river.
This forest looks so familiar, Izuku thinks to himself as he takes a look around. What the hell am I doing in a forest anyway?
He instinctively reaches to his side, groping for his gun case which always laid by his side only to find that it wasn't there. He quickly stands up, lowering his body to feel around his leg where he usually hid his knife. His knife was nowhere to be found.
So he was stuck in a forest with nothing but the clothes on his back. The current circumstances weren't looking too great for him.
Izuku turns to the river.
Guess I'll just follow this river downstream. Maybe it'll take me out of this forest. Even if it doesn't, I'll just walk back upstream. Either way, I won't be lost.
He starts walking up the river, but then stops and turns around.
I should arm myself at least.
Izuku looks around for a moment before finding a sharp, size-able rock and stick. He then tears off a piece of his white undershirt and ties the rock to the tip of the stick. He swings it a couple of times in the air before nodding to himself and pocketing the make-shift knife and starting his journey upstream.
He then hears a rustle of leaves behind him. He quickly withdraws his "knife" and turns around.
The bushes behind him were rustling. And it definitely did not seem like just a small critter that just passing by.
After a few seconds, he slowly starts walking towards the bush, his "knife" raised defensively.
But then he stops when he hears a voice.
"Geez Izu, how'd you manage to become so high-strung within the span of less than a decade?" the voice asks. "Calm down, don't you remember me?"
Out of the bushes steps out a teenage boy who looked around to be his age. He had spiky, pale blonde hair and red eyes. He was dressed in simple shorts and a green t-shirt.
When coming across somebody, the first thing Izuku would usually do is scan said person's figure for any obvious signs of a weapon.
But this time, he couldn't tear his eyes from this person's face.
"K...Kacchan?" he manages to stutter out.
The blonde-haired boy just smirks at Izuku, folding his arms across his chest.
