"Izuku-kun, Izuku-kun, wake up!"
Izuku swiftly gets up and onto his feet, crouching slightly so that his hand was within grabbing range of the knife hidden in his right slipper.
"Uraraka-san!" Izuku shouts. "What's going on?"
"It's the day of the entrance examination!" Ochaco says, peeking her head out of her room. "Why're you standing like that? You didn't sleep with your knife in your slipper again, did you?"
Izuku sighs, standing up properly and folding the blanket on the couch he had slept on.
"Uraraka-san, you don't need to shout like that just to wake me up," Izuku groans, yawning.
"It's almost nine!" Ochaco exclaims. "The entrance exam is in two hours! Get some breakfast then let's go on our morning jog!"
Izuku wasn't one to wake up late. On a normal morning, despite waking up in the middle of the night, he never slept past seven. Last night, however, he didn't wake up at one or two in the morning from a nightmare. In fact, last night, he didn't dream anything at all. He had, for once, slept well.
"Alright," Izuku says. "I'll meet you outside in ten minutes?"

Aside from jogging more than usual, Ochaco also wanted to spar a little bit. Of course, Izuku took her down in every one of their seven rounds of sparring, but she seemed satisfied enough and practically skipped back home. The prospect of the entrance exam being so close, for some reason, expanded her already seemingly infinite source of energy.
Upon getting home, Izuku got all of his gear, triple checking to make sure that he had everything. He zips up his light green jacket, straps his tool belt around his waist, and slings his gun case onto his back before checking one last time to see if his knife was properly hidden in his right boot but still easily accessible. He had decided to wear his agent outfit to the exam upon deciding that it seemed casual enough.
"Izuku-kun, are you ready?" Ochaco asks, stepping out of her room.
She was dressed in casual track pants as well as a casual white and dark blue jacket with an undershirt underneath. Upon seeing her, Izuku suddenly felt overdressed.
"We're taking an exam, Izuku-kun, not doing a covert ops mission," Ochaco says, suppressing a giggle.
"I feel comfortable in this," Izuku says, shrugging.
"Well, okay, that's up to you," Ochaco says, turning on her heels and walking towards the apartment door. "Mom and dad are in the car. We shouldn't keep them waiting."
"Wait up a second, Uraraka-san," Izuku says.
"What's up?" Ochaco asks.
Izuku walks up to Ochaco and leans down to plant a kiss on her right cheek. Her face instantly reddens in a deep blush.
"Good luck, Uraraka-san," he says, smiling.
She covers her face with her hands, mutters a quiet "you too," and dashes out of the apartment. Izuku chuckles to himself.
Then he remembers Jett and Phoenix. They were coming to find him. What would they think if they could see him now, perfectly content with a perfect family and a possibly-significant other?
His smile disappears.
"Izuku-kun!" Ochaco shouts.
"Coming!" he shouts back, closing the apartment door behind him as he exits.
He'll deal with that problem later.
-----
"Whoa, this place is big," Izuku says, looking up at the huge double doors in front of him.
