Chapter 10: Barista

"Okay now press this button and the air for the steam." Tera showed Tsukishima.

It was Tsukishima's first day at work and it wasn't going that great as he'd already messed up two orders and was put to making coffee table high he also messed up because he didn't know how to use the machine so Tera had to show him how to do it.

"Okay, you understand now?" Tera asked as he made a great with the thick cream in the cup.

"Yes' Ma'am."

"Again with the Ma'am...just call me Tera."

"Okay Tera." Tsukishima nodded. It felt weird calling someone who he'd just met by their first name.

Just then the little bell above the door rang meaning a new customer came in. Looking up at the door he saw it was Kuroo dressed in a red tracksuit.

He must've come from coaching.

Tsukishima told to himself. Taking a closer look he noticed how buff he'd gotten compared to his high school days. The tracksuit nearly hugged his shoulders as he walked towards the counter.

"Hey Tera!" He called out to Tera.

"Kuroo! How've you been?" She smiled at him.

"I've been well...what about you?" Kuroo asked as his eyes traveled towards Tsukishima who stood besides Tera.

"Tsukki?"  Kuroo questioned.

"Oh this is our newbie." Tera smiled. "You guys know each other?"

"Yeah...we're roommates." Tsukishima sighed.

"Oh come on don't say it like that." Kuroo tilted his head to the side pouting.

"Oh what happened to Mayumi?" Tera asked.

Mayumi? Was as that Mayumi he was arguing with at the apartment?

Tsukishima asked himself.

Wait...are they dating or were dating?

Tsukishima shook his head.

It doesn't matter.

"She moved out like a month back I'm surprised you didn't notice her not coming fro her americanos ." Kuroo said.

"Oh yes age is not being very kind to my memory I guess." She laughed.

She must've been around her 50's Tera had salt and pepper hair and was short and petite she was in pretty good shape for a 50 year old when could probably pull off being 20 if it wasn't for her hair color.

"Would you like your usual?" Tera asked Kuroo.

"Yes please," Kuroo replied. "But not a take away this time." He chuckled.

"I'm guessing you got done early." She gave a chuckle.

"You can say that..." Kuroo smiled.

How could be smile just like that and make my heart thump like that!? I've seen many people smile but why does his smile have that affect on me?

Tsukishima asked himself.

"Tsukishima can you make a latte like I showed you just now."

"Ah..yes.." Tsukishima let out nervously.

Shit!

Tsukishima cursed as he pressed the steam button before the pour. He nearly burnt his hand due to the hot steam that came from the tube.

"Here," Kuroo said as he came around the counter to where Tsukishima stood. "Let me show you." Karoo told Tsukishima as he took the cup from his hand.
