"Is there any specific reason you're wearing my shirt?" he looked up from the cups of camomile he had prepared for the two of them.

"Well" she walked over to his kitchen, plopping herself up on the counter next to where he was "You didn't really give me time to grab any clothes. And I wasn't about to sleep with the clothes I was wearing. Who knows how much of a creep you are behind closed doors"

"I would never do that" the boy replied handing her a cup of the hot liquid.

"Your shampoo smells nice" she commented before sipping from the mug "Hot!" she gasped for cold air.

"Didn't the smoke coming from it give it away?" he chuckled lightly. Spencer had definitely noticed the scent of his shower products on her when she had walked in wearing his clothes.

Is she wearing pants tho? The voice inside his head asked.

Well, he wasn't about to ask that.

Thaleia broke the silence that had set upon the two of them, which wasn't actually uncomfortable. Just... silence.

"Why are you doing this?"

He looked over at her "Why am I doing what?"

"Don't play dumb, Bubbles. It doesn't suit you" the girl rolled her eyes "Why are you helping me? Why are you acting like you care?"

"I would do this for anyone in the team" the Doctor sipped his own tea.

"I'm not part of your team" she replied softly. She looked so vulnerable but at the same time, so... her. Like she was showing her real self.

I'm doing this because I actually care... because I like you...

It probably wasn't the time or place to tell her that he might have a crush on her, even though the sudden urge had come to him.

"Well, then you are important to Garcia, and Garcia is important to me, so I care about you because seeing you hurt would hurt her, therefore, it would hurt me"

Thaleia chuckled at the explanation "Still, you wouldn't offer your place to any of the others, I know how you are"

"I offered my place so I could keep an eye on you, I know you wouldn't take care of yourself and I also know you really don't have anyone else, so..." crap.

"What do you mean, you know?" she eyed him suspiciously.

"I uh..." he fiddled with the paper on the end of the string of the tea-bag "I saw a document on one of Garcia's computers" he started explaining "I know your mom abandoned you in a hospital, didn't give you a name. I know the foster care homes and families you went in and out of. I know something happened with your last carer, tho I'm not sure what. And I know the government has kept you a secret ever since, hasn't let you off their hook, hasn't let you make deep and profound connections" he looked up at her "I hadn't meant to look at it. I just... I saw it and with my eidetic memory it's kind of hard to forget what comes in through my senses"

Thaleia sighed. She knew the day would come in which he found out. Just wasn't expecting it to be so soon...

"How did you know it was me?" the girl asked "My name hasn't always been the current one"

"I had a gut feeling" Reid looked at her with a small smile "I confirmed the theory that same night when I went to your exhibition and saw a certain painting"
