QUESTION OF THE CHAPTER: What is a traditional dish/food where you're from?

Jordan was pacing back and forth along the empty corridor of the hospital. His phone rang for the tenth time in the past hour and, once again, he sent whoever was calling to voice mail. Work was definitely not his priority at that moment. It wasn't anyone's priority. Even the leader of the BAU had turned off his phone, which he had never done before.
The rooms seemed darker, a gloomy aura clinging on the air around the Agents. They were all concerned, worried sick.
No one had still heard a single word from the doctors... their friend had been in surgery for the past seventeen hours, and they had been there the same amount of time. Plenty nurses had suggested to them to go rest at their hotel, that they would call when they had any news- but everyone refused.
Emily entered the waiting room, holding cotton over the inside of her elbow again. It had been the fourth time the doctors had called for her to give blood.
"Did they say anything?" Reid heard the conversation going on between Hotch and Prentiss.
"Next time they need more blood, they will use the one they have stored"
"They're expecting to need more?" Garcia asked, worry laced in her tone.
"They're not sure" the woman's eyes travelled over to the boy, who was curled up on a chair looking out the window and hugging Thaleia's sketch book to his chest "How is he doing?"
"Hasn't said a word" it was obvious that everyone was apprehensive to go over to the kid and try to talk to him. Even though they all loved the girl, no one loved her like Reid did. The only people who could probably imagine the pain he was feeling were Jordan and Penelope- after all, they were the only ones close enough to her to feel a similar amount of pain he was going through.
"Feels like he hasn't blinked either" Rossi sighed. It took a few more seconds of silence for the man to speak again "We should have realised earlier that something was wrong..."
"We couldn't have known" Aaron looked around at his team members. At his family "I don't want anyone blaming themselves for this. I mean it" he gave them a stern look "I know it's easy to cave into guilt, but we had no way of knowing"
"Reid and Garcia had been trying to tell us" JJ sat down, dragging her hands across her face in exhaustion "If only we had listened to them instead of-"
"JJ" Penelope sat by her side "It's no use thinking about what could have been... there's nothing we can do about it anymore..." she tried to calm her down "Spencer and I were aware of the lack of evidence... we were aware that we wouldn't convince anyone unless-"
"But we're a family!" the crying blonde raised her voice slightly "Families believe each other no matter how crazy it sounds- we stand together no matter what"
The genius felt like crying once again, but he was dry. He had already cried rivers, dried tears on his cheeks, puffy eyes, red nose...
He had run thousands of scenarios in his head. Thousands of scenarios in which he saved her, in which he didn't try to forget her because of a broken heart and in which he got to her before she got so close to death.
He also thought about what would have happened if he had found her back then... he wouldn't have resented her, so his feelings for Thaleia would have gotten stronger. He also wouldn't have read that notebook and found out how she truly felt about him. Their relationship would have stayed just the way it was. Spencer knew that the fact that he now knew about it didn't mean that they would actually end up together. Based on her previous behaviour he could tell Thaleia would not confirm her feelings towards him. But he didn't care. The only thing he cared about was that she got better, no matter how long it took.
