QUESTION OF THE CHAPTER: What's your favourite candy?

Penelope ran through the halls of the hospital. Her heels' clicking echoed through the practically empty halls at her every step.

"Where are they?" she asked once she got up to where her boss was standing with the rest of the team "What did the doctors say?"

"Dave's still knocked out, but he'll be fine. His body is just resting" the man answered.

"What about Thaleia?" the Agents glanced at each other, not knowing how to explain what was going on with the girl "What is it?"

"Agent Hotchner" a doctor approached them. He looked out of breath and exhausted, and his white coat was ravished "I need to know if Agent Blair has any allergies... to food or to medicine- especially the second one" he spoke through laboured breaths.

"None that appears on her records"

"Does she take medicine of any sort? Chemical or natural"

"No"

"MDMA" Garcia sighed. All eyes turned to her "Sometimes... And Adrafinil, about two or three times a week"

Hotch narrowed his eyes "What?"

"Is that all?"

"Yes" with a nod, the doctor turned around and left the group, whose eyes were all set on their technical analyst "I'm sorry"

"How long has this been going on?" Aaron crossed his arms over his chest. First Reid and now Thaleia? Was he blind?

"Not long after we rescued her" she sat down on one of the chairs "At first she kept saying she had them under control... and she kind of did... while she stayed at Spencer's. But then she went back to her place and..." Penelope brought her hands to her face "I had to rush to the store one night and I saw her walking under the rain without an umbrella- she said she had forgotten something at a café she had been at and needed it" she explained "I believed her then... but Jordan called me and told me that Thaleia was leaving almost every night from her apartment and not coming back until the next morning to get changed for work...

"I asked her so many times what was going on but she just denied that there was anything to talk about... then one night she came to my house... she was so scared and- she was telling me about this... monster that had been chasing her while she went on a walk" she dried the tears coming down her face "I tried to get her to sleep, but she kept on saying that she was fine, that she didn't need it. I could see she was exhausted and we fought about it...

"Stop pressing me to do something I don't want to do!"

"Baby, come on- you can barely stand up- you need to sleep"

"No I don't!"

"Thaleia, look at yourself"

"No! I don't want to look at myself!" she pulled at her hair, banging the sides of her head "I don't need sleep- sleep is bad!" she kept hurting herself as she repeated those words "Sleep is bad, sleep is bad, sleep is bad!"

"Baby... are you having nightmares?"

"After I asked her that, she stopped on her tracks and started crying... I had never seen anyone cry like that..." she sighed "She told me she went out and did anything she could to stay awake, because the moment her eyes closed to sleep, the monsters came back" Derek sat next to the woman, placing his hand on her back "She confessed to be taking that stuff to avoid it... but the lack of sleep was only feeding the hallucinations she had while she was awake... the only times she wouldn't take them were when she'd spend the night with Spencer, which she also avoided doing as much as possible even though she really wanted to... she didn't want him to see her like that"
