Chapter 80

QUESTION OF THE CHAPTER: What is a character from a movie or a book that, if you could, you would take out/remove? As in, you think that the plot/story would be best without them or even stay the same.

"Reid, Thaleia" the leader approached the kids.

It was late that first night in Anchorage, and the team had just gotten to their new accommodation for the case. The members had dispersed in smaller groups, talking about random things- in the case of the two geniuses, the Dena'ina, a tribe of Athabascan Indians and the original inhabitants of Anchorage.

"Yeah?" the girl frowned, not knowing why the man would approach them individually.

"Officially, we will have to share rooms" he started "I assume you want to tell the others whenever you're ready- so if now is not the time, it's going to be you guys with me, and Rossi with Morgan" he looked between them "Not so officially, I did manage to get a separate extra room. When everyone has gone off to sleep, I'll leave you two alone"

"Why- why would you do that?"

"Bubbles, he knows. Don't act stupid, you're making a fool of yourself" Thaleia sighed "I'm guessing David knows too?"

"Of course I do" said man approached them "And I am delighted" he wrapped his arm over the youngest's shoulders "My farfallina has gotten herself a man"

"Yeah, yeah... whatever" Thaleia crossed her arms over her chest "Not cool"

"I'm quite happy about this" Aaron gave them one of his rare smiles "We've been waiting for a while now"

"Yes we have" the writer agreed with a smile "So, I say we join the others before we raise more suspicions... everyone already thinks you two have a thing going on" he winked.

"Oh, fuck me..." Thaleia groaned bringing her hand to her face.

"I can do that later if you really want"

"Not the time"

"I know, I was just trying to light up the mood" the pressed his lips together in an awkward manner "Do you think anyone else knows?"

"Just like David said, everyone else has pretty strong guesses... specially Garcia"

Hotch explained the official version of the sleeping arrangements, and luckily no one asked or wondered about the decision of having him and the kids share a room- mostly because they were too tired to think twice about it.

Just like the man explained, once everyone was in their room he gave the kids the keys to a room on the other side of the building, throwing them a small grin and a 'Try to not make much noise', to which they both blushed and cringed at the thought.

"That felt wrong" Spencer laid face down on the bed whilst Thaleia sat cross legged with a cup of instant noodles.

"Like a dad giving you the talk and giving you the car keys and a condom after" she said bringing the chopsticks to her lips and eating.

"Please, don't compare Hotch to a dad"

"He kind of is tho" she looked at him "The dad of the team"

"No, thank you" the boy sat up with his back against the headboard. He sighed and tilted his head to the side to observe the girl as she ate, and as he did so, she also turned to him offering him some of the food, which he declined.

They stayed in a relatively comfortable silence.

It was something for their teammates to tease them about being in a relationship, but Hotch? He straight up said it- no sign of teasing or joking or anything. He knew and that was it.
