Hecta
THE NEXT DAY was a gloomy and dull day, representing how I felt not completing my mission. It was only a matter of time before my mother realises that I didn't go through with killing the innocent dryads. I'm sick of living this way. I'm sick of getting tortured or getting beat up just for having a bit of humanity left inside my body. It was time for me to leave otherwise it will kill me.
I wandered around the castle trying to find my mother only to realise she isn't here. Panic shot through my body as I realised she knew what happened. I had to leave before it was too late. I went back to my room grabbed a bag full of stuff that I would need and grabbed my sphere.
My sphere was a gift from a dark dwarf and had it specifically made for me. It was slim and a dark colour with a green orb on top of it. The dwarf told me it would make my enemies disappear into a green mist and vanish never to be seen again. It was the best present anyone had gotten me so I thought it would good for my little sister Jadis to have a similar one to represent her powers. I knew one day I would have to leave and it hurt me to think of Jadis being defenceless so she had a similar wand which would turn her enemies to stone. He had also gifted me a knife that would kill anyone who I truly wanted gone but I could only use it once. I told him I wouldn't need it but he insisted I would so it has been on my side ever since.
Snapping me out of my daydream, Jadis entered my room even more pale than usual and that's when I heard my mother scream out of fury. "What have you done, Hecta?" Jadis asked looking sad.
"It's more of what I didn't do Jadis." I told my little sister hoping she would forgive me for what I was about to do. I put my hand on her cheek to catch a tear that fell from her eyes. "We could leave Jadis. We can start over you won't have to be Queen."
"Why are you saying this?" She said as more tears spilled. "I want to be Queen and I could never leave mother and father. You have to stay Hecta, its not fair."
"Okay. I'll stay but tonight I'm going to sleep else where to let her calm down." I said grabbing my bag knowing full well I wont just be gone for the night. I'll come back for her when she wants too. I'm not forcing her to leave. I turned back to look at her in my room and smiled and went downstairs to deal with my consequences.

"You wanted me?" I said making my presence known to both of my parents. Within seconds, my mothers hand flew to my throat choking me violently. The world around me was becoming blurry. I didn't want to die at the hands of my parents after 13 years surviving them. It was time to take my life back. I burnt my mothers hands with my powers making her chuck me on the floor as she cradled her hand.
"You lied to me, Hecta. Such an ungrateful and weak child. Couldn't even kill a couple of dryads." She said crouching down and becoming eye level with me on the floor. "The prophecy implied you was meant to be the destroyer of all. I know see it was not about you as you will always act like a child. You are nothing but a disappointment to me and your father. And you wonder why we dont love you. And now no one will." She started mumbling words as she casted a spell towards me. Vines crawled up my body chocking me slightly as I realised the spell she was casting. It was a spell that would keep me young until someone loved or cared for me. I tried to conjure any power I had left as I made the vines turn black and burnt but I was too late. The spell had already been completed.
I had finally broke free from my mothers vines and I was angry. The most angry I had been in a while. I knew then I would never be free from my parents hold but I had to protect Jadis even if it killed me in the process. I had to kill my parents for my sisters freedom when I was gone they would use their anger to her. I conjured fireballs and started throwing them towards my mother who didn't expect me to fight back. I saw the fear in my mothers eyes. But it wasn't for her or me.
I felt something metal and cool aimed at my neck when I realised my father was going to kill me. I dont remember what happened next as it felt as if I had blacked out and only saw the aftermath of what had happened. My fathers unconscious body crumpled against the floor whilst I held is heart within my hand. I started to cry as I dropped the heart but I quickly stopped when my mother pinned me against the wall but before she could say anything I had stabbed her with the knife the dark dwarf had given me. She then crumpled against the floor as I saw that she had also stabbed me in the side. I had won but at what cost.
I decided I didn't want to die with them so I ran out of our castle after conjuring a spell to make it look like my dead body was with my parents so Jadis wouldn't come looking for my body as I wouldn't want to be buried especially not with them. I kept running and running until my legs gave out making me collapse in snow. My eyes where closing when I thought I had heard footsteps come towards me but before I could see who it was my eyes shut leaving me unconscious.

When I opened my eyes, I was shocked to see I was on a couch with a warm and kind feeling towards it. I looked around and didn't recognise my whereabouts making me scared when I saw a faun come towards me.
"I never thought I would live to see the day when you are awake." The faun said making me confused surely I was only passed out for a couple of hours. "I apologise for being so rude I'm Mr Tumnus and it was my father that had found you passed out in the snow before you're coma."
"Coma? How long was I out?" I asked the faun very confused as I looked to my side and saw no bandage for my wounds meaning it was healed already.
"It's been 100 years Hecta. I'm sorry but when you 'died' your sister Jadis found your parents bodies and declared war on Narnia as with your parents and you gone the Narnian's wanted to put a stop to your royal blood line. Jadis has since then become the white witch and calls herself the queen of Narnia whilst leaving Narnia in an eternal winter." Tears spilled from my eyes as this was the exact opposite of what I wanted for my little sister.
"There is a prophecy that I ought to tell you,
Two Sons of Adam,
Two Daughters of Eve, and
One witch who has been wronged by Narnians,
Will help defeat the white witch
And restore peace to Narnia. "
"When do they get here?" It was time to clean my mess.
