"WAIT MAYBE WE SHOULD THINK ABOUT THIS." She said which caused Peter to get annoyed.

"We don't have time!" He shouted back knowing either Jadis or her wolves would be here to kill them very soon.

"I was just trying to be realistic." Susan said as her older brother glared at her.

"No, your trying to be smart as usual!" He started walking down the path with everyone else following behind.

They had made it to were the ice used to be. Peter put his left foot on first but the ice broke underneath it making him quickly put his foot back.

"Maybe I should go first." Mr beaver said.

"Yeah maybe you should." Peter said as the beaver started to walk on the ice whilst flapping his tail around showing them where it was safe to move.

"You've been sneaking second helpings haven't you? Mrs beaver asked Mr beaver.

"You never know which meals gonna be your last especially with your cooking." He answered back. The Pevensies and Mrs beaver started following in Mr beavers footsteps being very careful.

"If mum knew what we were doing." Susan stated with a shaky voice

"Mums not here!" Peter shouted back.

Lucy looked up and saw Jadis' wolves come down the path and try to corner them. But Little did they know Hecta was waiting for them but was currently hiding behind a tree hoping the wolves dont see her as she had also seen them.

But one of them did it came at her without its pack knowing make Hecta stab it with her sword but covered its mouth so it wouldn't make a noise.

"Oh no!" Lucy said alerting everyone about the pack of wolves cornering them.

"Run!" They all started running until 2 wolves leaped in front of them. One had hold of beaver with its mouth the other was directly in front. Peter got his sword out and aimed at the wolf.

"Put that down boy or someone might get hurt." Maugrim said glaring at the humans.

"Dont worry about me! Slit his throat!" Beaver shouted trying to leave the grasp of the wolf.

"Leave now while you can, and you're brother leaves with you." Maugrim said in a harsh voice.

"Stop Peter, maybe we should listen to him!" Susan said which caused Maugrim to chuckle.

"Smart girl."

"Dont listen to him! Kill him! KILL HIM NOW!" Mr beaver shouted.

Hecta looked around the tree and saw all the wolves attention was on the Pevensies so she snuck round to the ice wall. She put her hands on it slowly heating it up to be able to get them away from Jadis' wolves.

"Look just because some man in a red coat hands you a sword doesn't make you a hero! So just drop it!" Susan shouted trying to reason Peter to not kill him and get Edmund back.

"No Peter! Narnia needs ya!" Mr beaver shouted again.

"What's it gonna be Son of Adam? Were not gonna wait all day. And neither is the river." Maugrim said.

Hecta then started melting it more due to her knowing Peter knows about the river as she saw his reaction to what Father Christmas had said. Little pieces of the frozen waterfall and then a big chunk started dropping causing the waterfall to escape.

"Hold on to me" Peter shouted as he stabbed the knife in the ground. Suddenly the wall fell down and was replaced by water. The Pevensies submerged under the water making Hecta think she had killed them causing her to sprint down the side of the river to where she thought they would be.

A wave of relief came over Hecta as she saw Peter's sword come above the water. She watched as the beavers helped but then realised Lucy had fallen off. She saw a green cardigan drift towards her knowing that this is Lucy she grabbed her hand an pulled her out.

Lucy gasped when she hit the land and started coughing up water. Hecta hovered above her as she tried to get the little girls eyes to open. But once they fluttered open Hecta breathed out the breath she didn't know she had kept.

"Are you okay?" Hecta asked concerned about what happened.

"Yes I'm fine. Thank you for pulling me out." Lucy stared at the girl she noticed she looked human like so she thought she couldn't possibly be the witch. "Who are you? If you dont mind me asking."

Hecta laughed at the girls politeness. "You'll see soon but for now I need you not to tell your brother and sister about me." She looked at her confused. "You'll understand soon now go your family are probably worried sick."

"Thank you and I promise I wont tell them." Lucy

"Thank you" Hecta said with a smile. She watched Lucy walk towards her siblings and the beavers and them walk towards Aslan's camp she was about to follow them until a Dryad stopped her.

"You can't follow them yet Hecta." The Dryad told her but Hecta could tell that the Dryad was happy to meet her.

"Why not?" She asked curious as to why they were trying to stop her.

"Your sister is coming and she can lead you to Edmund. He has been through torture so whatever your planning be kind to him." The dryad told her.

"Thank you and I'll try." And just like that the dryad was gone and Hecta was hiding once again.

"It's so warm here." The dwarf said which caused Jadis to glare at him and Edmund to laugh a little. "I think I'll go check the sleigh."

"We found the traitor." Maugrim said as another wolf held the fox ,who had helped the Pevensies, and then dropped him at the Witches feet. Hecta poked her head out of  behind the bush and watched intrigued as to what Edmund would do. She knew she couldn't walk up to her and kidnap Edmund because then her cover would be blown so she decided to wait.

"He was gathering troops near the Sharwood forest." Maugrim continued.

"Nice of you to drop by. I understand that you were so helpful to my wolves last night."

"Forgive me your majesty." The fox said as he bowed slightly

"Don't waste my time with flattery." Jadis said acting as if she was annoyed but she was happy that even a traitor was calling her a 'majesty'.

"Not to seem rude or anything but I wasn't actually talking to you." Edmund eyes grew wide out of shock.

Jadis grew more angry as she glared at Edmund then at the Fox. "Where is Aslan and the Witch?!" She asked the fox. "ANSWER ME!" She shouted now getting angry. When she didn't get an answer she held onto her wand and pointed at him and was about to hit him until Edmund stopped her as he walked in front of the fox.

"Wait! The beavers said something about the stone table and an army." The fox shook its head no and when Edmund saw him do that he knew he had said to much.

"Thank you Edmund. I'm glad this creature got to seem some honesty before he dies-" Jadis said and stabbed the fox turning him to stone.

"NO!" Edmund shouted which earned a slap from Jadis.

"Think who's side your on mine." She turned his head to face the fox "Or theirs." She let go of Edmund's face and he looked at the ground disappointed with himself.

"If it's a war Aslan wants-" She said pointing her wand at a butterfly turning it to stone. "-its a war he shall get."
