chapter 1

Hecta

It had been over a thousand years since the Telmarines invaded Narnia and somehow I was still here to watch them rule and hide with the Narnians in the shadows. Over time the Narnians have accidently referred to me as their Queen Of Narnia which I don't find it fitting considering my past. I visit different Narnians everyday to deliver food and offer necessities they might need. Today was the day that the new Lord Miraz's wife had given birth. There was a parade and fireworks light up the sky as I went to see Nikabrik, Trumpkin and Trufflehunter two dwarfs and a badger who I had grown very fond off.

"It's loud out there tonight." I said to them both as I entered their little tree house.

"It's awful there is a new heir in kingdom and they just parade not knowing the damage it will cost us." Nikabrik declared

"Would you like some soup, Hecta?" Trufflehunter asked me politely.

"No I must get going I've got-" I was cut off by a sound from outside sounding like horses. "Did you hear that I asked them making them nod.

"Nikabrik, Trufflehunter stay here and keep hidden if we don't come back do not panic." Trumpkin said as we both left the house.

We stepped outside to be met with a Telmarine but not just any Telmarine. Prince Caspian. We saw what he was running from as instructed Trumpkin to go to Prince Caspian. I stepped in front of the Telmarine soldiers and was about to strike when I heard a familiar horn go off Trumpkin made his way over to me but it was too late. We were surrounded and taken away.

Edmund

It had been two years since we left Narnia and Hecta had been on my mind for everyday that I haven't seen her. I have been speaking to Cat more often since we left and talking about Narnia. I had begun to realise that my feelings towards Hecta were more romantic than platonically and I might never have the chance to tell her. I was currently on my way to school with my siblings and Cat when I saw Peter had been caught in another fight at the train station. I couldn't watch as two boys were beating him up so I ran down to help him despite my youngest sister telling me not too.

I jumped on one of the boys making him turn his anger for Peter towards me. He tried to punch me but I kept dodging him and landed a punch on him. I felt myself being pulled up as I saw an army officer separate us.

"Act your age." One of them said which made Peter more angry than he already was before. We began to walk towards the seats whilst we wait for our train.

"Your welcome." I said since Peter had forgotten to thank me for helping him.

"I had it sorted." He said glaring at me and standing up.

"What was it this time?" Susan asked clearly fed up of him getting in fights.

"He bumped me." Peter replied.

"So you hit him?" Lucy asked

"No. After he bumped me, he tried to get me to apologise. That's when I hit him."

"Really. Is it that hard just to walk away?" Cat asked annoyed. "Honestly Peter your gonna get hurt soon."

"I shouldn't have too! Don't you ever get tried of being treated like a kid!" Peter said growing more angry.

"Uh, we are kids." I joked trying to lighten the mood which just earned me another glare of Peter.

"Well I wasn't always." Peter stated sitting back next to me as I began to look at the ground. Every time Narnia gets mentioned I feel so guilty for leaving. "It's been two years since we left. How long does he expect us to wait."

"I think its time to accept the fact that we live here. It's no use pretending any different." Susan told him.

"Don't you miss Hecta?" Peter said making Susan become upset.

"Of course I miss her! But god knows what's happened to her." Susan shouted.

"Just stop talking about her please." Cat said making me agree with her.

"Oh no. Pretend your talking to me." Susan suddenly said as she looked at someone walking towards us.

"We are talking to you." I said chuckling making her glare at me.

"OW!" Lucy shouted jumping out of her seat.

"Quiet Lu." Susan said in a smaller voice.

"Something just pinched me." She told them.

"Hey, stop pulling." Peter shouted at me even thought I never touched him.

"I'm not touching you!" I shouted back

"Ed stop pinching me!" Cat shouted.

"What I-"

"Can you all just- What is that." Susan said cutting me off when suddenly I felt it too. We all stood up confused with what was happening.

"It feels like magic." Lucy said with a smile.

"Quick everyone hold hands." Susan told us.

"I'm not holding your hand!" I shouted at Peter trying to get my voice over the train but he rolled his eyes and grabbed my hand. The bricks surrounding us started to fly away and left us in a on a beach with a bright blue ocean in front of us. We took off our shoes and jumpers and began to play in the ocean. We was finally home.
