Edmund
Today was Caspian and Hecta's coronation and we all were attending. I walked through their new castle to find Hecta who Trumpkin told me was in her room. I walked in she was wearing a dark red gown which looked as if it was perfectly made for her. She looked beautiful. I knocked on the already open door to make myself announced causing Cat, Susan and Lucy to leave the room.
"You look gorgeous." I said making my way towards her and wrapping my hands around her waist. I looked at her face and could tell she wasn't happy even with that fake smile plastered on her face. "What's the matter?"
"I just dont know if I can be a good Queen to both the Narnians and the Telmarines. I don't want to be feared like my mother was. I just want to make a difference and break the pattern of my family having evil Queens." She said as she rested her head on my chest causing my to wrap my arms around her shoulder.
"Hecta, you have already shown more love for both of them than your family would have combined." I said causing her to look at me. "When they invaded, you could have kept your spell and allow Cair Paravel to still be there so they would all be gone but you didn't. You thought about the innocent people who would have had to suffer the consequences of one persons actions. Yes it might take time for them to realise who you are but when they do they are going to love you."
"How do you know though, Ed?" She asked.
"Because you won my heart, my families heart, Cats heart and the Narnians heart all by staying true to yourself. You've got this." I said as I leaned down and kissed but we broke apart when Cat walked in.
"Hecta, It's time." She said with the biggest smile on her face knowing what she had just walked in on. Hecta began to leave and follow Susan and Lucy whilst Cat stayed staring at me.
"I knew it." She said as we began to walk with her non stop laughing the whole way their.
Music began to play as Hecta and Caspian made their way through the crowd of Telmarines and Narnians towards their thrones where was all stood to give them their crowns. Hecta's crown was a dark red matching the colour of her dress with fire symbols surrounding it whilst Caspian's was Silver with ocean surrounding it.
"To the Western Sun, I give you Queen Hecta the enchanting." Aslan said as Hecta knelt down as I went over to her and place her crown on her head just like she had done with me.
"To the Southern Skies, I give you King Caspian Courageous." Aslan said as Caspian knelt down and Peter place the crown on top of his head. They both then walked up to their thrones.
Once a King and Queen of Narnia, always a King and Queen of Narnia." Aslan said.
"Long live Queen Hecta! Long live King Caspian!" We all cheered as fireworks began to set off above the castle. Just like our coronation the Narnians and Telmarines were joined together dancing and cheering but I noticed one Queen was missing again.
I walked out onto the new balcony and saw Hecta leaning over the railing watching the fireworks take place.
"I knew you would be here." I said making her smile and look towards me.
"What can I say I never change." She says as I make my towards her. She looked up at me with her big green eyes and hard not to get lost in them. "What are we Ed?"
"We can be whatever you want, my love." I told her as I gripped my hands on her waist.
"I want to be with you." Hecta said leaning into my hold. "If we get together I finally have all my dreams come true ,become a powerful presence, have someone love me. But obviously you aren't there yet-"
"Says who?" I said as she looked up at me with wide eyes. "I think I have loved you since our Golden Age and I think as if we were made for on another that I was meant to come to Narnia and become a better man for you. You are the reason I woke up everyday hoping Aslan could hear me and let me come back. I love you Hecta. You dont have to love me back. That doesn't bother me as long as you know where I stand."
"I have loved you for a thousand years Edmund Pevensie, of course I love you back." She said as I leaned down and pressed a kiss towards her lips with both of our crowns clash together making us chuckle. We pulled apart and Hecta held her hand out towards me.
"Would you care for a dance, my King?" She asked as I gladly took her hand.
"Of course, my Queen." I said with a smile as we began to dance around the balcony just like we had done all those years ago except this time we had both improved.
