ᴍɪꜱᴛʀᴇꜱꜱ ᴏꜰ ꜰɪʀᴇ~ᴇᴅᴍᴜɴᴅ ᴘᴇᴠᴇɴꜱɪᴇ

chapter 18

This is not complete editing. This is the first draft I created whilst i was editing so it wont make sense after the last part but it will make sense with the other chapters unlike the other version. I'm sorry for this but I am still trying to write it.

Hecta

It had been a couple of months since Jadis' death and I was still living in Cair Paravel with the Pevensies. Their first months of their reign has brought peace to Narnia as the Narnian's of Jadis' side have surrendered and have retreated far away so they couldn't hurt the Pevensies, me and other Narnians. I am now the leader, with Oreius, of Peter and Edmund's army due to my knowledge of weapons and battles. Narnians now respect me and have grown fond of me due to my friendship with all the Pevensies.

The Pevensies have plans to gain alliances with other surrounding Islands to help Narnia incase of a opposing Kingdom would do anything to damage the Pevensies or Narnia. We are going to travel everywhere surrounding the Narnians except for Telmar. It took months for us to make alliances with all the towns so much that it took up the time of the Pevensies first year of reigning.

I was sat in the garden reading a book when I heard Edmund approach me. It wasn't unusual for us both to be sat here as I come here to think and Edmund likes to accompany me.

"And what can I do for you Mr Pevensie." I said sarcastically closing my book earning a smirk for Edmund.

"We have a task just outside of Narnia in a small village. The enemy's of the ruler have attacked and blown it up. We have to sort out the situation and see if anyone's alive and get them to safety." Edmund explained making me stand up.

"Lets get to work then, your majesty." I said as he offered me his arm and we walked towards Peter.

Once everyone was ready, we made our way to the horses which Mr Tumnus had brought for us. I was wearing black armour and had my wand by my side. There was only 4 horses as my horse, Everest, had recently become pregnant by Edmunds horse Philip so I rode on the back of Philip with my arms around Edmunds waist. Edmund kept looking back to make sure I was okay whilst Susan, Peter and Lucy rode ahead of us.

We was all talking and making jokes until we saw a cloud of smoke overtake us and burning. We rode through the village and saw houses completely destroyed. Some trees where still on fire but there was no sign of life. We jumped off our horses and began to explore.

"Who would do such a thing" Lucy asked with tears in her eyes making Edmund wrap his arms around her.

"Telmarines." I said as this looked all to familiar. "It's how they destroy people who wont comply with their beliefs.

Due to the amount of noise we created, the people of this village began to leave the rubbles of their building and stood together in a massive crowd. One of the girls with tanned skinned and dark hair stood in front of them glaring at us. Peter completely misread this situation and saw this as an opportunity to speak to them.

"It's alright, we're not going to hurt you." He said but the girl didn't believe him and pulled a dagger to his throat.

"Leave this village! You have caused enough pain!" She said as she tried to put the dagger further on his throat.

"Stop!" I said turning the attention on me. "We are not Telmarines. This is High King Peter Of Narnia and these are High Queen Susan, King Edmund and Queen Lucy and I'm-"

"I know exactly who you are Mistress of Fire!" She said glaring. "You and your sister put the Old King of Telmar in a deep sleep."

"Then you know that we are no threat to you. So please drop the knife." I said making her drop her knife and apologise to Peter who was clearly shaken up.

A little girl then came up to me and handed me a steel toy. I placed it in my palm and turned into a fiery quartz making the girl give me a hug. More people gathered around as I began to put out the fires on the trees and some of the buildings. People cheered around me when and children of the village told me to sit down as they began to plait my hair with flowers they had left over.

I looked over at the Pevensies but Edmund caught my eye he was smiling at the interaction as he began to talk with his brother about what to do with the village but he never took his eyes of me.

"We have come to a decision." Peter said making all eyes go to his. "Anyone who would wish to start a new life out of harm from Telmarines can come with us back to Narnia."

"We all will go back with you." The girl from before said approaching the Pevensies making me stand up and go back to them. "I'm Caterina."

"Hecta." I said making her smile as we lead the villagers out of the ruins of their village. We decided we would help the villagers begin a new life, make houses and build friendships with the Narnians and promised for the Pevensies reign to be peaceful, whilst we could.
