Edmund
I COULDN'T SLEEP. I felt slightly bad for having an argument with my siblings in a time like this but they didn't care. They seemed okay when getting for bed unlike me who was trouble sleeping not knowing what is happening at Finchley and whether my parents are okay. Sulking for being unable to sleep, I went to the bathroom splashing my face hoping to feel more refreshed when I saw a glow come through under the door making me open and see Lucy wandering towards the wardrobe.
I have no idea what she is doing as I know Narnia isn't real and there is no such thing as Faun's but maybe Lucy couldn't tell the difference being fiction and non-fiction. I decided to follow her curious to see what she was doing and as we reached the wardrobe I watched her climb inside and shut it behind her. I wanted to scare my little sister so I opened the door of the wardrobe only to find coats making me think you was further back. I shut the door and started walking towards the back of the wardrobe only to be met with snow under my feet instead of the back of a wardrobe.
I looked around at my surroundings and saw a forest covered in snow. It was quite magical as the trees looked like they had their own feelings as they snaked around each other. Distracted by the beauty of Narnia I realised I couldn't see Lucy anywhere so I ventured further in the woods calling out for Lucy when I heard bells ring and a sleigh come flying at me causing me to fall over.
The sleigh stopped as I saw this small man run towards me with a knife within his hand. He looked furious with me so I decided it was a good idea to run away from him. I kept running until I felt something snake around my leg dragging me back to the floor where the man climbed on top of me and was now holding the knife to my neck.
"What is it now Ginarrbrik?" A voice from the sleigh asked making me hope that this woman would save me from this insane man.
"He won't let me go!" I shouted towards her making the man even more angry with me.
"Is that how you address the Queen of Narnia?" The man, who I now know was called Ginarrbrik, shouted making me panic. I had never met a Queen before especially not one in a magical made up world how was I meant to know.
"I didn't know!" I said hoping for my life he wouldn't kill me
"Well, you shall know her better afterwards." He said lifting the knife in the air until the Queen of Narnia told him to stop. Ginarrbrik got of me making me look to the side and saw the Queen. She was blonde with piercing eyes and a fur coat wrapped around her which was very suitable considering how cold it was in the snow. Even though I thought Ginarrbrik was scary he was nothing compared to how the Queen looked. Although, I sort of felt comfortable in her presence.
"What is your name Son of Adam?" She asked me making me immediately stand up to show her I have good manners.
"Edmund, Your Majesty." I said trying to recover from not knowing who she was earlier
"And how was it, Edmund, that you came to enter my dominion?" She said with no expression on her face.
"I walked through a wardrobe following my sister-"
"-Your sister? How many are you?" She said interrupting me.
"Four Lucy's the only one that's been here before she said she met some fawn called m-Mr Tumnus." I stuttered which must have been a good answer as she smiled for the first time since standing there.
"Edmund you look so cold! Come and sit with me." She said as she ushered me to sit with her on her sleigh. We sat down together as she wrapped her fur coat around me which automatically made me warm. "Now would you like something warm to drink?"
"Yes, Your majesty." I said as I watched her grab a silver vial and pour it on the floor which then magically allowed a glass with a hot chocolate inside appear out of nowhere. Ginarrbrik then passed me the drink as it seemed he was trying to make up for nearly killing me before. "How did you do that?"
"I can make you anything you like." The Queen said making me automatically intrigued as no one in England could ever do this.
"Can you make me taller?" I asked earning a laugh of the Queen.
"Anything you like to eat". She said still with a bright smile on her face. Which made me ask for Turkish Delight and she did the same thing as before an a box of Turkish delights appeared. Theses were nothing like the ones I've had before and were so much better.
"I'd very much love to see your family, Edmund." She said making me very annoyed. I just wanted someone to know me over my siblings as I can feel quite left out when I'm around them.
"Why they're nothing special." I snapped shocking both me and the Queen as I didn't even mean to say that it just came out.
"Oh I'm sure there not has nearly delightful as you are but you see I have not children of my own and my sister died at such a young age. And maybe one day I can see you becoming Prince of Narnia, maybe even King." She explained making me intrigued. I would love to become a King but I wouldn't like to be in my siblings shadow. "Of course you would have to bring your family."
"Oh, does that mean Peter will be King too." I said quite disappointed as I thought I would finally be the special one.
"No! But a king needs servants." She said with a smirk making me smile at her as it felt as if the Queen understood me.
"I-I guess I could bring them." I agreed quite liking the idea of bossing Peter around instead of it being the other way round
"Beyond these woods you see those two hill." She says while pointing at them. "My house is right between them. You'd love it there Edmund" She told me as I started to get up from my seat on the sleigh making me automatically miss the warmth. "It has a whole room filled with Turkish Delights."
"Could I have some more now?" I asked hoping she said yes.
"NO!" She snapped making me taking back a little bit as I thought that I had upset her but she quickly replaced that with a smile. Don't want to ruin your appetite. I'm going to miss you Edmund. But we are going to see each other very soon."
"I hope so, your majesty." I said adding a little bow not wanting her to find me rude.
"Until then, dear one." She said as her sled began moving leaving me stood alone in the snow. But I didn't feel alone. I felt like someone or something was watching but when I looked around there was nothing there. This place was seriously starting to freak me out.
"Edmund?" I heard come from behind me as I turned to be faced with Lucy looking at me with a shocked expression across her face. "Oh Edmund." She said wrapping her arms around me making me quickly pull her off as I hate hugs. "Isn't it wonderful?"
"Its freezing." I said trying to make it seem as if I hadn't have met the Queen of Narnia. ""How do we get out of here?" I asked making Lucy drag me towards the wardrobe but I could have sworn I saw a hooded figure lurking towards the trees.
