Edmund
I had managed to escape the Telmarine soldiers who were on my tail and fly above the courtyard. I look down below and saw fire and ashes covering the floor along with other Narnians bodies. I then noticed a familiar Dear Little Friend as I aimed my gryphon to fly below as we picked him up and made our way back to the How. I hoped Hecta was okay with the others as that looked like a nasty explosion.
When I landed at the How Peter and Caspian were in mid fight with their swords pointing at each other so I had to intervene.
"Stop it!" I shouted as I place Trumpkin on the floor as Lucy rushed over to us. I looked around and saw Peter, Caspian, Susan, Lucy, Cat but no Hecta. "Where's Hecta?" I asked as everyone looked down.
"She stayed behind to keep the gate open I'm sure her body is still on the courtyard." Peter said as tears began to spring up in everyone's eyes.
"No I went to the courtyard she wasn't there." I said as Trumpkin awoke with a gasp.
"What's everyone doing standing around?" Trumpkin asked making everyone laugh. "Where's Hecta?"
"I think they took her." Cat said with tears still in her eyes. "They used to like to keep prisoners I doubt they have changed." But before anyone could answer we heard screams coming inside the how. We rushed there and saw The White Witch standing in a block of ice.
"Get away from him." Peter said pushing Caspian away from her. I was currently dealing with a werewolf whilst Cat helped Lucy from Nikabrik and Susan kill the other creature.
"Peter dear I have missed you. Come, just one drop." She said but she looked around to not be able to see her sister. "Where is she?"
"She's been taken." Peter told her making the White Witch create angrier a
s she tried harder to get a drop of Peters blood. I saw Peter lower his sword so I took matters into my own hand and went round the back and sliced my sword through her as the ice shattered. Peter looked at me shocked.
"Your welcome." I said and then went over to Cat and the others. "How was she able to be resurrected?" I asked Cat since she was the closest to Hecta.
"I'm not sure but Hecta once told me she had made a deal with a Dark Dwarf to get both her wand and Jadis' wand right there." She said as she pointed to the wand that is on the floor. "That no one would be able to kill Jadis' apart from her so maybe the Dwarf made another spell that transported their souls within their own wands."
"That makes sense." Susan said.
"Why wouldn't she tell us?" Peter asked.
"Maybe she didn't want you to know she was reason Jadis lived for so long before you entered Narnia." Cat said as she went closer to Peter.
"We're getting her back, no matter what. " I said as everyone looked at me
"If I may." Caspian said coming towards us after the incident. "Miraz wouldn't have killed her if he took her. He would be using her to get you to come to them. And although he is a murderer now he is a King and has to comply with certain traditions.

Hecta
I have been a prisoner of Miraz since the night raid and he currently took my to his camp outside of Aslans How. I am being chained to a chair with my hands trapped sat watching him and his Lords talk about me as if I wasn't there that was until Edmund had come to give him a proposition. He locked eyes with me before turning towards Miraz.
"I, Peter, by the gift of Aslan, by election and by conquest, High King of Narnia, Lord of Cair Paravel, and Emperor of the Lone Islands, in order to prevent the abominable effusion of blood, do hereby challenge the usurper Miraz to single combat upon the field of battle. The fight shall be to the death. The reward shall be total surrender." Edmund said reading the letter of what Peter had given him.
"Tell me, Prince Edmund-"
"-King." Edmund said cutting off Miraz and I have to stop myself from laughing.
"Pardon?" Miraz said shocked.
"It's King Edmund actually. Just king though. Peter is the High King." Edmund said staring at their shocked faces. "I know, it's confusing."
"Why would we risk such a proposal when our army could wipe you out by nightfall?" Miraz said.
"Haven't you already underestimated our numbers? Only a week ago, Narnians were extinct."
"And so you will be again."
"Then you shall have little to fear." Edmund said which made Miraz laugh.
"This is not a question of bravery." Miraz said annoyed
"So you're bravely refusing to fight a swordsman half your age?" Edmund said smirking at Miraz's face fall.
"I didn't say I refused." Miraz said quite sternly.
"You shall have our support, your majesty, whatever your decision." One Telmarine Lord said to Miraz.
"Sire, our military advantage alone allows us the perfect excuse to avoid—" Another Lord said.
"I am not avoiding anything!" Miraz shouted
"I am merely pointing out that my lord is well within his rights to refuse." He continued.
His majesty would never refuse. He relishes the chance to show his people the bravery of their new king." His guard said as Miraz pointed his sword at Edmund.
"You had better hope your brother's sword proves sharper." Miraz agreed
"One more thing." Edmund said making everyone look at him. "We want Hecta back."
"No way." Miraz said now standing up. "You want her so you have more power against us!"
"But you agreed to duel with High King Peter meaning Hecta would be of no use to either of us. She is a part of the Narnians so rightfully she is ours." He said as Miraz gestured to his guard to untie me. We took off without saying another word to Miraz and made our way back to Aslans How.
"I thought I told you to be careful." He said suddenly stopping as he checked my face for any marks.
"I had to do it Ed. I saved more Narnians." I told him as he put his hand on my cheek.
"I know you did but I need you to start saving yourself. I can't live without you." He said as he kissed me before we went back to the How.
