It had been couple days since Redd came to Cave. And of course, Nico told it was okay him to stay.

They always had good heart, and was always trying to make new friends with everyone who visited the island.
The human walked towards the ship that was at tiny beach. He walked in, with a knock.

"Mr. Redd?" Nico asked. He scanned the room, the kitsune wasn't there. He wasn't sure should they leave, or go in.

But something caught his eye, canvas that was covered with cloth. They let out little sigh. It won't hurt to take little peek? Right?

Nico stepped fully inside, even if he wasn't really fond of the cigarette smell. They stepped closer to the canvas that was covered. They moved the cloth, just to take little peek, yes?

"Cousin, is that you?"
The human froze, but soon looked up to the kitsune. "Sir. I am so sorry, I was just-"

The kitsune held his hand up. "No need to. And call me Redd." he said with chuckle. "I do know you like art, am I right?" he added.
"I, um... Yes, that is true."
"You wanna see what is under there, eh?"
"Yes, that would be nice."

"But I have to tell ya, it's not for sale, so don't get too attached to it." Redd said with smirk, as he went next to the human. He pulled the cloth off. "So, whatcha think?"

The redhead let out tiny gasp. "It's beautiful." he told. They got little closer to the painting. "Hym... You did this yourself? Right?"

"Ah, yes." the kitsune said placing his another hand to his hip, and another to his chin. "It's nice to spend your time for somethin' you like, ya know."

Nico nodded. "I like doing some sketchs while I'm bored, but painting never was my thing." he told.

Silence fell between them for a while before Nico spoke again, "Mister, I mean Redd, I came here to tell you that we are opening new wing to our museum." they told with nod. "And it's all thanks to you!"

"Me?" the kitsune asked suprised. They nodded. "Yes, you! And your art, thank you so much." he told.

He flicked his tail gently. "That's, nice to hear." he told with chuckle, as he scratched back of his head.

The human was quiet before he spoke again, "I... I've been meaning to ask, what between you and Tom?" they asked.

"I know it's non of my business." he quickly added. "But, he seemed little uneased when I told him you can stay." they told.

The kitsune tilted his head slightly. "Tom and I, eh? He haven't said word 'bout me?" he asked.

"Well, not really. I haven't asked him, he is busy so I don't want to bother him." Nico told.

He was quiet before he gasped, "Ohgod! I should not be bothering you either! I am so sorry, I'll leave now." they said stepping aside, getting closer to stairs.

Redd flicked his tail gently, with a tiny chuckle. "No worries, cuz." he told. "You can stay, actually I am glad that you are here."

Nico stopped and looked back to the kitsune. "You, mean it?"
"Yeah, you are my best customer in this little island of yours~ and, little, company ain't that bad." he told.

He nodded, they felt little more relaxed. He stepped off the stairs.
"So, you wanted hear what's goin' on with me and Nook?" the kitsune asked.

The human nodded once again. The kitsune let out soft chuckle, again. "Want somethin' to drink?" he asked, grapping bottle of whisky.

"No thank you, I don't drink." Nico told.
"Well, more to me." Redd chuckled taking glass, and poured whisky in it.

Two of them talked, while the kitsune drank his whisky.
"Wait, you and Tom were business partners?" Nico asked.
"Somethin' like that, then... I left." Redd told, moving his hair from his face. "If, I may ask, why?"

"Hm... That's a good question." he answered taking another sip of his drink, maybe his second drink. "I, guess I was scared..."
"About what?"

"Tsh, I guess that's enough of talkin'." Redd told getting up from chair he was sitting at. He leand to table. "Want that one?" he asked pointing at painting of lady with pearl earings.

Nico moved his gaze to the painting. "I, didn't take any bells with me." they told moving his gaze back to the kitsune. "I am sorry."
"Eh, it's on the house then, take it, it's last one. I'm leavin' tomorrow."
"Leaving?"

"Yeah, I am gonna leave." Redd told placing his empty glass to the table. "I might come back in a week."
"Why? Is something wrong?"

He let out chuckle, letting the table go. "Nah, not at all. I just need to get new things to sell, ya know." he told with flick of his tail.

"Oh, right." the human said with tiny nod. "But, I saw your art, you could sell those." they told pointing the painting that was covered with the cloth earlier. "I mean, sell your own paintings."

The kitsune moved his gaze to the painting. "I don't think so. No-one won't buy my art." he told digging pack of cigarettes from his pocket, taking his lighter too. "I just do it for fun." he mumbled lighting up his cigarette.

"Well, I would." Nico said moving his gaze back to Redd. "I am sure some residents would love have your art on their walls."

"Hm, I'll think 'bout that, but you should leave. You don't look like you can take the smell, am I right?" the kitsune chuckled.

"Not, really. But I'll be back later, I just need to get you those bells." Nico said taking steps to stairs.
The kitsune watched him to leave. He let out soft sigh running his hand through his hair.
