Chapter thirty-seven.

Redd flicked his tail as he snuggled deeper to the blanket. "What it says?" he asked.
"It says 38.6°, it means your fever has gone up." Tom sighed, as he placed the thermometer on the nightstand.

He got up from the bed. "I'll go get you more water." he said taking the glass, before he left the room.

The kitsune pulled the blanket over his head. He looked outside of the window. He got up from the bed, wrapped to the blanket.

He went over to the window, and open it with soft huff. He leaned against the window frame, taking his blanket hood off. Soft breeze played with his messy hair.

He let out sneeze. He twitched his ears when the tanuki returned to the room. "What are you doing?" he asked, placing the glass of water to the kitsune's nightstand.

"Oh, I wanna go to outside and have a smoke." the kitsune told, his tail slightly wagging side to side.

"Redd, we are in second floor, were you planning to jump out of the window? And you should be in bed, resting." the tanuki told, he had strict tone.

He went beside of the kitsune. "Come on, go back to bed." he said, as he placed his hand on the kitsune's shoulder.

Redd flinched slightly. "But I-" Sneeze cut him off. He wiped his nose to his palm. "I don't wanna."

He flicked his tail, as Tom gave tissue to him. He took the tissue, and blew his nose to it. "And yeh, I was plannin' to jump." he chuckled softly.
"That's dumb idea. Bed, now."
"Are ya comin' with me?"

"No, I have to go back to work. But I'll be coming back later, and you can call me if you need something." Tom told.

He lead Redd back to bed. After the kitsune was back in the bed, he closed the window with soft sigh.

Redd flicked his tail, as he took glass of water. He drank the water, then placed the empty glass on the nightstand.

"Hm... I guess it would be better if you had bottle of water. Stay." Tom said, before he left once again.

The tanuki sighed softly, as he filled bottle with cold water. He closed the bottle, and went back upstairs.

He stepped in the bedroom, and went beside the bed. He placed the water bottle to the nightstand.

Tom sighed softly, as he moved Redd's hair from his face, he had fallen asleep. He shook his head slightly. He left and returned to his work.

Isabelle hummed softly, as she opened her window. She took deep breath. "It's like there was no storm last night." she said.
"M-mh..."
"Oh, I forgot to ask you how Redd is."
"Yes, of course..."

The shih tzu looked over to the tanuki, his gaze was focused to his laptop. "Tom, did you even hear me?" she asked, no answer. "Tom?"

The tanuki flinced slightly, and rised his gaze. "Pardon?" he asked. She sighed softly, "I asked, how Redd is?"

"Oh, his fever has gone up." Tom told, as he moved his gaze back to his laptop screen. "He did take medicine, hopefully that helps."

Isabelle gave nod, "I hope he's feeling well soon." she said, picking up her book. "It's unfortunate that he got sick." she added, as she went through her book.

"Yes, it is." the tanuki nodded, as he picked his cup. He brought the cup to his lips, empty. He sighed softly. He got up and went over to the coffee pot. He made coffee for himself.

"Oh, I got message from Mr. Slider. He said he would be here at seven." Isabelle told, lowering her book.

Tom's ears pricked. "Seven, hm?" he asked, taking look of the time, 11.57 am. "We should tell residents about it."
"Of course." the shih tzu nodded with soft smile.
