Redd flicked his tail slightly. He stared at the table, is somethin' wrong with mom?
He tried to find words, but he couldn't muster them.

He twitched his ears slightly when his father let out chuckle. It sounded dry and hollow. "I'm suprised that you're quiet, it was hard to keep you quiet when you were young."

Richard shook his head slightly. "I think it would be good to order somethin', want anyhin'?" he said as he flagged the barista down.

What?
"Excuse me? You, you just can't say that you wanna talk 'bout mom, and then just, just do this." Redd told as he spread his hands.

Richard waved him off. He looked over to the barista. "What would you like to have?" she asked with smile.

"Hm... Cappuccino, and what you two would like?" he asked as he looked over to his sons.
"Just coffee, black."

Redd flicked his tail. "Uh... Do you have tea?" he asked. The woman nodded, "Sadly our tea options are limited to green and black." she told.

He nodded. "Green tea is fine, thank you." he said with soft chuckle. The woman nodded and left.

"You don't drink coffee? How old you are?" Jason snorted.
The redhead took glance of his brother. "I just don't like taste of it." he told as he moved his hair from his face.

He was quiet before he spoke again, "And I'm seven years younger than you, so do your math." he said with slight smirk.

"Oh, you are so funny." Jason scoffed rolling his eyes. He gave smile at the end, it clearly wasn't genuine. "But, while we wait, we can talk."

I would rather eat cigarette butts than talk to you.
Redd squinted his eyes slightly. "Fine... What ya wanna talk 'bout?" he asked with huff.

Richard leaned to his hands. "What you did after you left home?" he asked, giving gentle flick to his tail.

Left home? You kicked me out.
Redd needed to bite his tongue. "I... Uh, well, I was homeless for, 'bout three years. Then, uh..." He shut his mouth.

What I can say? And why I'm even tellin' this? He stared his hands. He twitched his ears when the barista came back.

"Here you go, when you are done, you can come to pay on the register." she said as she placed tray on the table.
"I hope you enjoy." she added with smile, before she left.

"Now, what were you sayin', hm?" Richard asked as he took his cup of cappuccino.

Redd gave his tail slightly nervous flick. He took his tea. "Nothin' important." he said, as he gave stir to his tea. "Now, what the hell is goin' on with mom?" he asked, as he took sip from his tea.

His father chuckled. Again, that dry and hollow chuckle he had heard before. "Well then, if you want." he said.

Richard was quiet for a while, staring at Redd with his gray eyes. "Your mother, she's dying." he told as he took sip from his coffee.

The youngest of the kitsunes almost choked to his tea. "W, what?!" he got out. He looked over to his brother, then back to his father.

He shook his head slightly. "No, no, you are just lyin', just like when I was a kit. She's fine."

"Yeah, no, her bills speaks otherwise." Jason snorted. "She was diagnosed few months back with a cancer." he added.

Redd stared at him, trying to find words again. Before he found them, his father spoke up, "Yes, it is true. And, that's why we wanted to meet you." he said.

"We are havin' trouble to pay her medical bills. And we were thinkin', maybe you could help her." he added.

Redd was quiet once again. He twitched his ears slightly. He did want to help his mother. But he did have iffy feeling about everything.

He looked back up to his father. I know that look on his eyes, he ain't tellin' all of it.
He opened his mouth, "No." he said simply.

"What? You won't help our mom?" Jason snarled, taking tight grip from Redd's shoulder. "How selfish you are?"
"Hm, I'm not that suprised... He was little piece of shit back then too." Richard said.

Redd flinched in pain when Jason's nails dug into his shoulder. He lowered his ears slightly. What if she really needs help?

He stared at his cup of tea. "I... I wanna meet her. And if she really does need help, I'll help her." he told. He was quiet for a moment before he added, "But if she doesn't, I ain't givin' shit to you."

"What? You have no rights to see her, after what you did." Jason hissed, still somehow tightening his grip from Redd's shoulder.

Redd gritted his theets. "Then it's no." he hissed back, as he got up forcing Jason to let go. "Don't worry 'bout this bill, I'll pay it." he huffed.

He went over to register, and paid the bill. He took glance of his brother and father, before he left the coffee shop.
