Chapter three.

Few hours after Nico left, Redd stepped outside. He leaned to his ship's railing, with a sigh. He twitched his ears, as steps approuched him.

He moved his gaze to Tom, who walked down the ramp. "Nookie~ what a suprise." he said with smirk.

"I told you to drop that nickname." Tom said. He watched the kitsune. "Are you, drinking?" he asked.

"Mmmaybe?" the kitsune snickered leaning over the railing, sipping his drink. "What you want from me~ ?" he purred, tail lazily wagging.

The tanuki shook his head slightly. "I heard that you are leaving." he said. "Is that true?" he asked, tilting his head slightly

Before the kitsune even got his answer out, railing of his ship collapsed under him. And he fell down to warm sand.

The tanuki took step backwards. "How did you-" he muttered pinching his nose. He shook his head slightly. "Are you okay?" he decided to ask.

"I'm fine, same can't say 'bout her." Redd chuckled with smirk. He stood up, patting sand off his clothes.

"Well, that's good to hear." Nook said with soft sigh. He was quiet before he spoke again, "So, you are leaving?"

"Yeh, somethin' like that." Redd hummed picking his glass. "Aw, that was last of it..." he sighed, throwing glass back to sand.
"How, much you had anyway?"
"After cuz left, two more. That was gonna be my fifth."

The tanuki shook his head, again. "You asked what I want, yes?" he said. "Mm, and if I remember, you didn't answer~" the kitsune purred.

He let out soft sigh. "Yes, I came here to ask, would you like to join dinner tonight." he told.

Redd flicked his tail. "You, you are kiddin', right?" he asked. "No, you are serious. I know it from your eyes."

"Yes, I am serious." Tom sighed. "So, what you say?" he asked crossing his arms. "I do not have all day, so answer quickly." he added.

Redd was quiet before he answered, "Yes, that would be nice." he told with nod and flick of his tail.

"Well then, I'll be here at nine, be ready." Nook told turning around. "And I hope you don't drink too much before that." he continued, leaving the beach.

Redd pulled his hair to lazy bun, after he dried his hair. He let out sigh, he buried his face to his hands. "Why I agreed to this..?" he mumbled placing his hands against his sink.

He twitched his ears when he heard steps above. He buttoned his shirt. "Nookie? Is that you?" he asked walking out from his bathroom.

"I told you twice already to drop that nickname..." Tom sighed as he stepped in. "But yes, it's me." he mumbled.
"Are you ready? Or do you need more time?" he asked.

"Yeah, just gimme a second." Redd snorted. "I still need to do my eyes~" he purred with smirk.
"Be quick then."

"Right. While I am doin' my thing, look around. No thouchin'." he hummed stepping back to his little bathroom.

Tom watched after him. He stepped off the stairs, and walked over to painting. He placed his hand to canvas. "Hm..." He brushed his finger across the painting.
He still has same style...

He tilted his head slightly while he watched the painting. He let out sigh moving his hand away, when he heard the kitsune return from the bathroom.

"All of paintings that one caught your eye?" Redd asked with soft chuckle, as he went over to the tanuki.

The tanuki moved his gaze to the kitsune. "Yes, it is middle of everything." he told moving his eyes back to painting.

"It's beautiful." he said. Then he shook his head slightly. "But let's go." he sighed stepping aside.
