Chapter eighty-one.

Rest of the week went by rather slowly, but eventually another week had started.
Whole week had passed since Tom had talked with Redd. And he still hasn't talked to him again. But Isabelle did tell him on Friday maybe he should talk to the kitsune.

He did think about it, and decided he should go to see the kitsune after the weekend. Only if nothing was heard from him. And like he was afraid, nothing came.

The tanuki twitched his tail slightly, he stared at the kitsune's house. He shook his head slightly, as knocked to the kitsune's door. I should not be this nervous...

He tried to look through the window, but blinds were closed. It felt like five minutes passed, before he gave another firm knock to the door. "Redd, are you in there?" he called, trying to catch any life inside the house.

The tanuki twitched his ears slightly, nothing. He tried the door knob. To his suprise, the door was unlocked. He stepped in the house. "Redd?" he called again.

He scrunched his nose, the house smelled like cigarette smoke. He shook his head, as he went to the kitsune's living room. He took look of his surroundings.

His ears pricked up when he heard thud coming from the bedroom. He went over to the bedroom door and gave knock to the door, before opening it.

Tom looked over to the kitsune, he was on the floor. "Ohdear, are you alright?" he asked as he went over to him. "Nooksie?"

"Yes, it's me." he said, as he helped the kitsune up. He flinched slightly when he stumbled into his arms. "You smell nice." the kitsune chuckled.

The tanuki twitched his tail. "You don't, but can you stand?" he asked as he helped the kitsune to stand. He got nod from him, so he let him go.

He watched as the kitsune sat down on the bed. He felt little awkward as he stood there, watching the redhead.

"You just gonna stand there, eh? Because I know I look like a shit." the kitsune told as he leaned against his hand, mainly to support his head.

"You, um, yes, you're right, you do look like a shit." Tom nodded. He took look of the room, he went over to the chair and sat on it. "Have you only been drinking and smoking?"

Redd shook his head slightly. "I only had half bottle of whisky left, and I already finished it on last Thursday." he told, with little chuckle.

"But why you're here? I thought you didn't wanna see me?" he said, his tail slightly wagging side to side.

"I didn't say so, I only said you're not welcome to my house until you're ready to tell me what's wrong." the tanuki told, with soft sigh.

He twiddled his thumbs, as he was trying to think what to say next. He gave slight flick to his tail. "You need a shower, I'll go make you something to eat." he said, as he got up.

The kitsune blinked in suprise. "Nooksie, can ya tell me why the hell you're here?" he asked as he got up too fast. His sight went black. He leaned against his nightstand. "Jesus..." he murmured.

He twitched his ears slightly as his eyesight returned. He let the nightstand go, and took step away from it. "And ya know, you broke in, right?" he asked.

Tom rised his brow slightly. "Your door was unlocked." he said. The kitsune squinted his eyes slightly. "Fine, I'll let that pass, just because you're so cute." he told.

"Don't." he said in firm tone. He eyed the kitsune. "Hm... Have you eaten anything in a week?" he decided to ask.

Redd gave slightly nervous flick to his tail. "Not really? Look, I have tried to, but ya know me." he told, as he let out soft chuckle to lighten the mood.

"Sadly I do, so go to shower and I'll make something to eat. I should eat something as well, so we can eat together." Tom said as he went over to the door.

As he was leaving, he stopped. "You can get to the shower, right? Or should I assist you?" he asked as he looked over to the kitsune.
"I can handle myself, thanks." he snorted waving his hand slightly.

The tanuki nodded. He bit his lip as he moved his gaze from him. "Call me if you need help." he said, as he left the room.
