It had been two weeks since Redd left the island.
Tom looked up to clock on the wall. He drummed his fingers against edge of his desk. Almost five...
He let out sigh leaning back as he buried his face to his hands.

Isabelle looked over to the tanuki. "Tom, is something wrong?" she asked, with slight tilt of her head.
He moved his hands. "No, I guess I'm just tired." he sighed getting up.
"Tom-"

"No, I am not thinking about him." he said walking over to coffee pot.
"Yes you are. I didn't even say anything and you jumped to it." the shih tzu told shaking her head slightly.

He took deep breath. "Fine. I'm thinking about him." he said pouring himself more coffee.

Before Isabelle got to say anything else Resident Services buildings doors opened. She, and the tanuki, looked up to Nico, who walked in.

"Ah, Nico, is there something you need?" Tom asked walking over to his desk, he placed his coffee cup on it.

"Not really," the human answered walking over to Nook Stop. "I just need to withdraw some bells." they told.

"Oh, and Tom, there is visitor for you. He's waiting." he told with little smile as they stepped to the doors, opened them and stepped outside.

The tanuki watched after the human. "He's back..." He shook his head. "Isabelle, I'll be back soon." he told, stepping behind the counter.
"Yes, of course! Don't worry!"

----------

Tom stepped to sand, watching Redd's ship- still looking like it could sink anymoment.
"Nookie! I didn't know I could find you here~" Redd purred with smirk, while he leaned to his ships railing.

"You really came, hm?" Tom asked crossing his arms against his chest. "And stop that, you have once already fallen down. And really, quit the nickname."

"I see." Redd chuckled. "And of course I came! It's your birthday!" he added, his tail wagging slightly.

He blinked in suprise. "Pardon?" he asked as he rised his brow slightly. "Ya know, day when ya were born, and it has been thirty-nine years, right?" the kitsune snickered.

"I know what birthday is, and I know how old I am, I don't need any reminder about it." the tanuki sighed. "But I didn't expect you to remember."

"Oh Nookie, I've never forgotten your special day." Redd told with smirk. "I have somethin' for ya! Stay." he told as he went inside his ship.

It took a while before the kitsune returned outside. He jumped to sand. "Here." he said handing little package to the tanuki, tail wagging.
He took the package from him. "Oh, um, thank you?" he said with nod.

"You can open it later if you want." Redd hummed sitting edge of his ship, taking pack of cigarettes from his pocket with lighter. "Want one?" he offered.
"No, I don't smoke anymore."

"Right, kids." he said lighting up his cigarette. "So, how old they are? And when you found 'em?" he asked.

"I see, you still can't be quiet." Tom said with soft chuckle. "They are still twelve, turning thirteen next month. And it was half a year after you left." he answered.

"Right." the kitsune nodded. "So, are you gonna do somethin' special on your day?" he asked, taking drag from his cigarette.

"I have work to do. But I promised to boys that we are eating dinner together." the tanuki told. "Hm, would you like to join us again?"
"Yeah, that would be nice~" the kitsune purred, his tail slightly wagging.

"Well then, you know where to come, yes? At nine, don't be late." Tom hummed as he turned around. "Oh, and before you leave, remember make sure your rusty bucket is safe. There is going to be a storm." he added.

----------

The tanuki placed his empty coffee cup on his desk, as he looked up to the clock, 8.55 pm. "Isabelle, I'll be leaving. Don't stay too long." he told as he stood up.
"I won't!" she answered with smile.

They looked up to the doors when they opened. Timmy and Tommy ran in, over to the older one. "Uncle Tom!" they chimed.
"Hm? Is something wrong?" he asked hugging the boys.

"No," Timmy said with little laugh. "We just wanted to come little earlier what we agreed. ...agreed." he added, Tommy repeating after him.

"I can see that." Tom said with little chuckle, as he ruffled the boys hair. "Is there reason for it?" he asked.
The twins let out giggle. "Yes! We wanted to suprise you! ...you." they told.

"Well, I am suprised." he said with smile. "But let's go now." he said taking their hands. "Isabelle, remember lock the doors." he told to the shih tzu.
"I will, don't worry about it!" she answered with nod.
