Chapter thirty-nine.

Isabelle hummed softly, as she took glance of the clock, 2.58 pm. She got up, and walked over to Tom's desk. She placed her hands against his desk. "Time to have a break, mister." she told firmly.

Tom blinked in suprise. "Excuse me?" he asked has he rised his gaze to the shih tzu.
"I said it's time to have break." she repeated herself. "And you maybe should go check on Redd, he has been alone for few hours already." she added.

"M-mh... Yes, you are right, I'll just finish this." Tom told waving her off. Isabelle sighed softly, as she shook her head slightly. She went back to her desk, she opened her drawer.

She went through the drawer for a while, before she found what she was looking for.

She placed small notepad on her desk, and took pen from the pen holder. She wrote something down, and placed paper note top of her book.

The shih tzu rised her gaze to the tanuki, who let out soft sigh. "I'm leaving now." he told, as he put his laptop to sleep mode. "You are going to be okay?"

She let out soft giggle. "Of course, do not worry. Just go already." she hummed.

Tom let out soft sigh, as he climed the stairs up. He knocked to the bedroom door, before he went inside.

"Redd, are you-" He cut himself as his eyes landed to empty bed. He gave his tail slightly nervous flick.

Before he got to do anything, his ears pricked up when he heard toilet flush, after few seconds water hit bottom of the sink.

Redd pushed bathroom door open, with soft huff. He looked over to the tanuki, his eyes lit up. "Nookie! Hiii! How are ya?"

The tanuki blinked, and then let out soft sigh. "I'm fine. What about you? Still feeling like, shit?"

He went over to the tanuki. He bent his knees to be same level with the shorter one. He gave slight poke to the tanuki's cheek. "Fine~" he chuckled.

"Well, you do look better." Tom said placing his hands to Redd's cheeks. He tilted the kitsune's head slightly. "Hm..."

"You look cute when you are thinkin'." Redd chuckled, stealing quick kiss from Tom. "But what is it?"

Tom flicked his tail gently, with little chuckle. "Nothing." he hummed, moving Redd's hair from his face. "But let's eat something. You need to eat, you only have eaten few slices of apples."

Redd got up with soft huff. "But I ain't hungry." he told, crossing his hands against his chest.

"You are eating, we are not going to discuss this." Tom told with slight hiss, as he gave gentle poke to Redd's chest, or more likely his hands that covered his chest.

The kitsune only scoffed, and turned his head aside. "Redd, you need to eat something, I can bring your food here." the tanuki sighed rather frustrated.

Redd let out sneeze, he wiped his nose to his palm. "Fine..." he mumbled. He twitched his ears, and took tissue from Nook.
"Could you please not wipe your nose to your palm. Now go wash your hands."
"Fiiine, I'll do it."

"Great, I'll go warm up food for us." Tom hummed, as he left the room.
Redd huffed and went back to the bathroom. He turned water on, and washed his hands.

He splashed some water on his face with soft sigh. He looked up to the mirror that was top of the sink.

He shook his head slightly, as he took towel. He dried his face. He looked back up. He shrugged, as he opened his hair from messy ponytail he had since last evening.

The kitsune flicked his ears as the tanuki came back into the bedroom. "Redd, your food will get cold if you don't come eat."

He rolled his eyes, as he pulled his hair to very messy bun. He stepped out of the bathroom, closing the door behind him.

Redd went sit on the bed, next to Tom. Taking his plate of food, and fork. "You lied to me."

Tom blinked, tilting his head slightly to the left. "Pardon? What you mean?"
"I look like a shit." the kitsune mumbled, before he pushed the fork to his mouth.

Both of them were quiet before Redd added, "You said I look better, but I just look like a shit." he said.

Tom placed his hand against Redd's cheek. "You are dumb." he said with soft chuckle, as he brushed his thumb against Redd's cheek gently.
"I, no?"

"Yes, yes you are." he hummed as he gave gentle kiss on the kitsune's cheek. "Yes, I did say you look better. But if you now say you look like a shit, then you should have seen yourself this morning."

The kitsune huffed once more, as he ate his food. He flicked his tail gently as the tanuki gave few scratches behind his ear.
