Chapter four.

Tom pushed his door open. He waited Redd to get in, before he closed the door. Both of them twitched their ears when they heard two pairs of feet running down the stairs.

The kitsune blinked, he stared at two boys- who hopped down from the stairs. They took little step backwards, other one trying to hide behind the other.

"Boys, this is, my friend Redd. He's joining us for the dinner." Tom told. "Redd, Timmy and Tommy." he said.

"Is he here to stay?" Timmy asked. His twin nodded, tightening his grip from his arm.

"No." the older one told with little laugh. "Hm, but let's go eat now. And you are coming too." he added, taking side glance of kitsune.

The tanuki placed plate of food front of the younger ones. "You are going to eat, right?" he asked to the kitsune, who was leaning to his hands.

Redd looked up to him. "Yeah, I guess so. I am here because of that?" he said with tilt of his head.

"Yes, of course." Tom said with roll of his eyes. He placed plate front of the kitsune. He sat down to his chair, next to him.

The twins tilted their heads, watching the two of them. "Mr. Redd, how you know uncle Tom?" Timmy asked.

"Uncle Tom, why you haven't told us about him..?" Tommy asked slightly tilting his head.

Redd looked up to the twins. "Ah, it was one night, little over seventeen years ago." he answered with tiny chuckle.

Tom nodded to the kitsune's words. "Hm, why I haven't told you about him?" he asked, getting nod from the twins. "Mh, I didn't have any reasons for it." he sighed softly.

Timmy slammed his hands against the table as he got up from the chair he was sitting at. "You two have known each other longer than what we have been alive!" he gasped.

"And we found out about it now?" Tommy asked carefully, trying to get his brother back to sit down to his chair.

The kitsune flicked his tail with smirk. "Nookie~ why you been hidin' such information from your boys?" he asked. "What else you haven't told 'em~ ?"

Tom let out soft sigh. "Mh, yes, maybe because you left before I found them." he told, poking his food with fork. "And Timmy, sit down." he added.
The boy sat down, with little huff. "Why you left? ....left?" he and his brother asked.

Redd flinched slightly to their question. "Why, I left?" he repeated, he got nod from them. "I, uh... It was some adult stuff, you two doesn't need to worry 'bout it." he mumbled.

"Boys, that's enough. Let's eat before food gets cold, yes?" Tom told, as they were about to say something else. They nodded, and began to eat.
