Chapter ninety-five.

Months passed, and soon October reached. Everyone were at spirit of Halloween, as it was only few weeks away.

Redd, and Tom, had visited Redd's mother first day of October as it was her birthday. And Redd wanted to see her again. Opal and him had been in contact ever since they exchanged numbers.

Redd was relieved to hear Richard was going to spend ten years of his life behind the bars. He still wanted to get restraining order. Otherwise everything had been great.

Tom's ears pricked up when he heard footsteps from the stairway. He rised his gaze to his boyfriend, who stepped in the kitchen. "Morning." he hummed softly.

"Mornin'..?" the kitsune mumbled as he rubbed his eyes slightly. He rised his gaze to clock, 11.32 am. "Whatcha doin' here, I thought you have work?" he murmured as he moved his gaze back to the tanuki.

"I took day off." he told as he got up. "Tea?" he asked as he went over to the cabinet, and opened it.

Redd blinked in suprise. "You took day off? Why?" he asked, giving his tail slight flick. The tanuki took glance of him. "You don't remember?" he asked, as he took cup from the cabinet.

He let out soft yawn. He sat down, and leaned to his hands. He tilted his head. "Should I remember somethin?" he asked.

Tom let out soft chuckle, as he prepared tea for the kitsune. "Oh sweet pie, may I ask, how old you are?" he asked as he gave tea to him. He sat back down.

The kitsune tilted his head slightly more. "Thirty-four..?" he said. He got soft chuckle from the tanuki. He was quiet as he straighten his head. Oh...
"No, thirty-five." he said, his tail wagging side to side.

Tom chuckled softly. "Happy birthday." he hummed softly, as he took sip from his coffee.

Redd took sip from his tea. "Tsh, half a year and you're forty." he purred with smirk.
The tanuki blinked. "Oh sush it." he chuckled. "Today is your day to age up." he hummed.

Sunday went by fast, it was already late. Sun was already settled down. The twins had given Redd mug that they customised by themself. And Tom took Redd to watch the sunset, spend the evening just by two of them.

"Redd," Tom hummed softly as he twirled the kitsune's hair between his fingers, as he lied on his lap. "I have something for you." he told.

The kitsune's ears pricked up. "I thought your day off was present for me~" he purred. He sat up, as he rubbed his eyes slightly. "But what is it?" he asked tail wagging side to side.

The tanuki let out chuckle. "Are you five or thirty-five, hm?" he asked. The kitsune flicked his tail, as he crossed his legs. "Mm~"

He shook his head slightly, as he rised his gaze to the sky. "Do you remember, when I took you to see that meteor shower fourteen years ago?" he asked.

Redd tilted his head slightly, as he stared at the tanuki. "Wasn't the evenin' just like this one?" he asked as he also rised his gaze to the sky. "Yes, it was." the tanuki told with soft hum.

"Do you have reason to brin' it up?" he asked, as he eyed the stars against the sky. He took glance of the tanuki.

"Hm... Well, it was that night when you brought up marriage." Tom told. "Although, it had been only two months after our first, official, date." he added with soft chuckle.

The kitsune twitched his ears slightly. He moved his gaze to him. "Yeah, it was? But you only laughed at the idea, but then you said yes little after three years." he purred, tail wagging gently.

"That did happen, yes." Tom hummed softly as he took small box out of his pocket. The kitsune stared at him. Wait...
"Nookie-" He was cut off when the tanuki opened the box. There was ring. Rose gold band, yellow topaz and diamonds all around.

"Redd, I know what I want from my future, and I would like you to be part of it. We have gone through a lot lately, but I think it's now my turn to ask, will you marry me?" he asked.

The kitsune felt his face heat up. He buried his face to his hands. "Fuck..." he mumbled. Soon he moved his hands from his face, and hugged the tanuki- his tail wagging. "Yes, yes, I will, I love ya so much." He buried his face to the tanuki's neck.

Tom almost dropped the box and the ring as the kitsune hugged him. He hugged him back with soft chuckle. "I love you too." he hummed

They pulled back. Redd had sparkles in his eyes as he stared at the tanuki. "I wanna try it on." he said with nod, as he offered his right hand to him.

He chuckled softly. "Want to wear it in your right hand, hm?" he asked softly, as he put the ring to the kitsune's finger.

He wagged his tail. "Well, I'm left handed, ya know." he smirked. He stared at the ring. "It's beautiful." he hummed, as his tail was wagging like crazy.

Tom moved the kitsune's hair from his face. "Mm... And it goes well with your eyes." he said softly.

Redd stared at the tanuki, soon moving his gaze from him. He felt his face getting little more redder. "You can't use my words against me..." he muttered.

He chuckled softly. "But it's true." he told, as he placed his hand against the kitsune's cheek. "You're so dumb." he hummed, giving few scratches behind the kitsune's ear.

He leaned against the tanuki's hand. "And still we ended up here~" he purred with smirk. "Yes, yes we did." the tanuki hummed, before he pulled him to kiss.
