Chapter seven.

Tom opened his door, letting Timmy and Tommy in. He twitched his ears, he looked behind him, it was Redd. "You really came." he said.

"Tsh, yeah, of course I came. It would be rude not to show up." the kitsune chuckled as he stepped in.
"I guess so." he said as he closed the door.

"Mr. Redd!" Timmy chimed as he hopped down from the stairs. "Uncle Tom, why you didn't tell us he's coming too?" he asked, slightly tilting his head, while his brother was trying to hide behind him.

"Oh, well, I didn't have time. But yes, he's joining us again." Tom answered with soft chuckle. "Is he, going to stay for the night?" Tommy asked.

He blinked. "Yes, he is." he nodded. "But you two can go upstairs while we prepare dinner for us." he told. Timmy nodded, pulling Tommy with him.

"I, can stay?" Redd asked suprised. "Yes, I know you don't really like thunder, and I really think your boat isn't safest, yes?" the tanuki said as he went to the kitchen.

"Right, thunder..." he muttered following him. "Don't worry, it's going to hit us, maybe in two hours." he told, opening a cabinet.
"Pft, I'm not worried. Why should I?"

"Drop it. I lived with you over seven years." Tom said as he grapped frying pan from cabinet.
"Right, sure, but I grew up from it." the kitsune said crossing his arms against his chest, with soft huff.

"Really? That's great. I guess you can sleep on the couch then." he said placing frying pan on the counter.

"Yeah, I can do that." Redd said with flick of his tail. He was quiet. Wait...
"Hey! What that means?? Where I was supposed to sleep?" he asked.

"It doesn't matter." Tom told as he opened the fridge. "You still know how to cook, yes?" he asked.
"Yeh? I do?"
"Then you can help me, hm?"

"I guess so?" Redd said with little tilt of his head. "Great, you can chop vegetables. You can do that?" the tanuki told. "Sure." he nodded, his tail slightly wagging.

"Timmy, Tommy, dinner is ready!" Tom called as he stepped from the kitchen. It didn't take too long before he heard door open upstairs, and the twins running down the stairs.

"No running inside, and remember wash your hands." he told to the younger ones. "On it! ...it." they answered. They washed their hands, and sat down.

"Mr. Redd, can you tell us more about your time at sea?" Timmy asked, Tommy giving slight nod.
"Hym... I guess I can, but only if you call me Redd." he answered with chuckle.

"Hm?" Tom let out questionably, tilting his head slightly.
"Wait, you two didn't tell him you're comin'?" the kitsune asked, leaning to his left hand.

"Well-" Tommy started before Timmy interrupted him, "No we didn't, but it's okay. You two are friends, right? It's okay, right uncle Tom?"
"Yes, of course."

"Tsh, well that's good to hear~ but I told them to ask." Redd purred with smirk.

"Hm, I don't think today was first time when you two went to visit him?" Tom asked looking up to the twins.

"No." Tommy answered, looking down to his plate. "We-" "We went to meet him last time when he was here. Day after our dinner." Timmy told.
"Really? May I ask why?"

"Nookie, they didn't do anythin' illegal. Don't sound so harsh." the kitsune told with chuckle.

"Mh... I guess you are right." Tom sighed. He was quiet before he spoke again, "So, your life at sea?" he asked.

"Pretty good, and sailin' ain't that hard when you get hand of it. And on the other hand, it sucks, it really sucks." Redd told. "And it sucks even more when you had too much to drink."

"Well, thank you for telling us." Tom said as he rolled his eyes. "But let's eat now, before food gets cold."
