Chapter thirty-five.

Tom took his phone from nightstand, with soft sigh. He sat up, as he shut his alarm. He pushed Redd off, and got up from the bed.

He stretched his arms, and cracked his back. He flinched when the kitsune let out sneeze. He looked over to him. "How are you feeling?" "Awful..." he murmured.

"You sound stuffy." Tom said, as he placed his hand against Redd's forehead. "Hm... I'll go get thermometer, and tissues for you." he told, before he left the room.

Redd let out huff, as he snuggled to the blanket. He needed to wait for a moment before Tom came back.

"Do ya really thi-" He let out sneeze. "Fine..." He snatched the thermometer from Tom.

The tanuki placed the tissues, and glass of water to the kitsune's nightstand. He changed his clothes, while he waited the thermometer to go off. He twitched his ears as he heard piping.

Redd let out groan, "38°..." he said as he placed the thermometer to the nightstand. "That's not good." the tanuki said. "You need to stay in bed."

"If it means I can sleep, I'm fine." the kitsune told, as he buried himself to the blankets. Only tip of his ears were visible.

Tom blinked. "Well, it is good to rest. I'll come check on you little later." he said, taking his phone. "Call me if you need something." he added, as he opened the door.

He twitched his ears, soft snoring. He shook his head slightly, as he stepped out of the room.

He went downstairs, and to the kitched. He made breakfast to himself, as he waited to coffee to be ready.

After breakfast, and coffee, Tom left the house. He headed towards Resident Services.

He sighed softly, as he opened the doors. He looked over to Isabelle's desk. The shih tzu was sleeping on her desk, head in her arms.

Ohdear, did she stay on her desk all night? He went over to her desk, and gave gentle shake to her shoulder. "Isabelle."

The woman fluttered her eyes open, as she rised her head from her hands. "Oh, Tom, what are you doing here?" she asked, rubbing sleep from her eyes.

The tanuki blinked. "It's six thirty." he said. "You should go to rest, I can get day started." he told.
"Oh." The shih tzu moved her hair from her face. "It's no problem at all, I-"

"Isabelle," Tom cut her off, as he placed his hands to her shoulders. "I do know I am not best to say this, but you are overworking. This is a command, you go take real sleep, now. You can come back later."

"Excuse me?" Isabelle asked, moving Tom's hands off her shoulders. "You are right, you are not best to say any of it at all. But I do understand what you are saying."

She got up from her chair. "I'm coming back at ten, then you'll have your first break. Understand?" she said.

"Yes, of course." Tom nodded. He was quiet before he spoke again, "I'm sorry, but I didn't get the blanket back yet. Redd is sick, and I'm sure he would not have given it back even if I asked. You'll get it back, uh, some day."

"That's fine, it's just a blanket. He can keep it if he wants." Isabelle giggled. "But I go now, don't overdo it yourself." she added, as she opened the door to break room.

Tom shook his head slightly. He made coffee to himself, and then went over to his desk. He looked up to clock, 6.38 am.

Redd twitched his ears when his phone started to buzz against the nightstand. He groaned as he took his phone.

He sat up, resting his head to his hand. "What the..?" He stared at his phone screen, it was unknown number.

He declined the call, and placed his phone back to the nightstand. He pulled one of the blankets over his head.

The kitsune was edge of falling asleep before his phone started to buzz again. He tried to ignore it as long he could, but he sat up and took his phone to his hand.

He decided to answer to the call. "Hello..?" he muttered, resting his head to his hand.
"Reddrick?"

The kitsune was quiet, he stared at the wall. Voice in another end of the call repeated, "Reddrick, is that you? Answer to me you little shit."

He flinched slightly. "Jay? How the fuck you got my number?" he hissed slightly.
"Aw, it is you~" the person at end of the call laughed. "And can't I say hello to my little brother?"
