"Stay!" Keith whined, clinging onto his boyfriend for dear life.

"Baby, I have to go. I can't be late for the first practice," Lance mumbled, softly petting Keith's head.

Keith only hugged Lance tighter, pushing his face into the youngers chest. "No," Keith said with a pout.

Lance let out a sigh, not knowing how to handle this. As much as he'd love to stay with Keith, he couldn't. The first baseball practice of the season started in less than twenty minutes. Lance couldn't be late for the first fucking practice, even if he wanted to. Keith clearly didn't want him to go, only because he wanted to spend time with Lance. He noticed during football season he and Lance spent a lot less time together. Keith didn't complain because he knew how much Lance loved to play football, and the majority of the football season Keith and Lance weren't dating. Now, it was different. Keith got a full three months of Lance's undivided because he wasn't involved in sports. You could say that he became used to the attention. He grew accustomed to Lance spending every minute he possibly could with Keith, but now that would be changed till the beginning of June.

"Please, don't make this difficult, Clem. I promise I'll call you as soon as I get out," Lance suggested. He didn't blame Keith for not wanting him to go to practice, it'd be hypocritical if he did. Lance was the walking definition of clingy and he knew that. Keith often had to deal with Lance's constant whining and separation anxiety. Lance honestly didn't know how Keith put up with it, but he was glad that Keith had the patience. It wasn't often that the roles were reversed and Keith was the one whining to spend time with Lance. When that was the situation, Lance always faltered. He just couldn't tell his boyfriend no, and Keith looked so cute when he pouted. Today, this wouldn't be the case. Lance had to say no.

Keith shook his head. "No go, stay," he mumbled like a five-year-old child.

Lance looked down at his boyfriend, unsure how to get out of this situation. He combed his fingers through Keith's thick, black locks, biting his lip softly. "As much as I love holding you and listening to you speak in a baby voice, I have to. Just give me the first week and then I promise you we will spend all the time in the world together."

"That's a lie, you have practice four days next week," Keith huffed, tilting his head up to look at Lance. He puffed out his bottom lip, giving his boyfriend pleading eyes.

"What can I do to get you to let me go to practice?" Lance asked, willing to compromise with the older. He really needed to get to practice, so at this point, he was ready to do anything to get his boyfriend to let him escape.

"Stay."

Lance whined, throwing his head. "Baby, please! I'll fall asleep on FaceTime with you every night that I have practice and you'll spend the night every weekend."

Keith sighed, putting his head back against Lance's chest. He knew that he couldn't keep Lance here forever, even if he wanted to. It'd be selfish to hold the younger here, knowing how excited he was was to start baseball. Keith unhooked his arms from around Lance's waist, keeping his head pressed to the youngers chest. He stood there for a second, staring at his feet. Keith really didn't want to let Lance go, wishing they could just go home and cuddle. He didn't want to walk home either, but there was no way around that. Keith looked back up at Lance, biting the inside of his lip.

"Promise?" Keith whispered, his eyes drifting from the youngers face.

Lance brushed his finger against Keith's cheek before gripping his chin. He tilted the olders head up, looking into his indigo eyes. "I promise, my love," Lance spoke before leaning down and placing his lips against Keith's. Keith brought himself up on his tiptoes, kissing Lance harder. Lance couldn't help but laugh against the olders lips, pulling away. He held his hand up to Keith, sticking out his pinky finger. Keith happily linked his own pinky to Lance's, sealing the promise.
