"Lance! Would you slow down?" Marco yelled as he tried to keep with his little brother. There was no way he'd be able to, even if he tried his hardest. Lance was already pretty far ahead the rest of his siblings. It stressed Marco out because the last thing he wanted to do was lose Lance in a fucking airport. He cursed his little brothers long legs for moving so fast.

"Keep up!" Lance yelled back, not slowing down. He continued to race through the airport, his body coursing with excitement. How couldn't he be excited? He was seeing his parents for the first time in a year. Lance could barely sleep last night he was so excited. He got up extra early even though his parents flight landed at twelve. As said before, Lance loved his family more than anything. Being reunited for the holidays made him overflow with joy. There wasn't a single thing Lance wanted more than to be with his family on Christmas. He could barley wait to wrap his mama up in a huge hug. Lance also talked Keith's ear off about it, which Keith found cute.

Lance pushed through a crowd of people, wishing they'd fucking move. He didn't say anything though because he knew how stressed and aggravated people got in airports. Lance made his way to gate six, the gate his parents had told them they would be at. He looked above him, reading the signs hanging from the ceiling. Arrows pointing in the exact direction Lance was heading read 'Gate 6'. He followed the signs, pushing past more people. Lance didn't bother looking back at his siblings, knowing that they could find their way. He didn't understand how they weren't as excited as he was, but that didn't matter. What mattered to him was seeing his parents. The signs started so show less and less, meaning he was getting closer. Lance only sped up, now completely running to the gate. He could hear his siblings yell for him to stop running, but Lance tuned them out. His sneakers squeaked against the white tile, dodging people left and right.

When he finally made it to gate six he slowed his pace into a casual walk. Lance's head shot in different directions, searching for his parents. He could see a bunch of people that had already exited the plane, and a few still getting off. Blue eyes dilated, meeting his mother first. A short, petit women, maybe only 5'2. Her eyes the same shade of blue as Lance's, skin paler then his own. Light brown hair that was long and full of curls, tied back into a loose ponytail. She had a full face and rosey cheeks, just as Lance remembered. Then his eyes drifted to his father, standing right beside her. He resembled Lance much more then his mom did. Short deep brown that was always ruffled and messy, matching his mustache and beard. Topped off with warm chocolate eyes, that only Luis inherited. He was the same height as Lance, maybe even a little taller. A smile creeped on to Lance's face, seeing his parents for the first time in what felt like forever. He felt tears pool in his eyes as he began to run. Lance moved as fast as he feet could take him, running straight to his parents.

"Mamá, Papá," Lance called, earning the attention of his parents. He watched his mother's face soften with joy. Lance didn't hesitate to tackle both his parents in a hug at once.

The happiness Lance felt in that moment was so indescribable. It felt like he was a kid again, being so long since he last got to hug his mom and dad. He couldn't even remember if he hugged his parents the last day he saw them. Something about being in his parent's arms was so comforting. Talking on the phone wasn't the same as being face to face. Nothing compared to feeling of being with his family like this. When his parents first left Lance didn't even get to say goodbye. Lance just came home from school wondering where in the world his mom was, and why the hell his brothers were there. You could only imagine how Lance reacted when they broke the news to him.

Lance walked in through the front door, slamming it shut with a sigh. He kicked his shoes off at the mat by the front door, setting his bag down next to them. Usually Lance would have carried his bag into his room because his mom yelled at him for leaving it at the door, but he was too exhausted to drag himself up the stairs yet. It was the first day of football practice for his junior year. The September weather was brutal in Arizona, eighty degrees if you wanted to be technical. Football practice under the scorching hot sun was extremely tiring, but Lance pushed through it. Usually the first day of football practice wasn't supposed to be that energy exerting. Lance was used to the coach just giving them a talk about he wanted the season to play out then have the run a few drills. This year was different because it was Lance's first year playing for the varsity team. Coach worked them pretty hard for the first day, obviously not caring about them passing out from the heat.
