Once again, Keith found himself in the bleachers of a school football game. The boy questioned how he got here. Of course, he was there to support Lance, but he didn't want to be there. Keith just didn't like sports or school events. Even so, he didn't want to let Lance down, so there he was. Keith has only attended one football game in his life, and that was with Pidge. Being there alone made Keith nervous.

There was plenty of people in the crowd. Cheerleaders from both teams stood in front of the bleachers. It was pretty cold out, which was surprising. Keith was glad he was wearing Lance's hoodie. The crisp air didn't affect the players at all. They all still played their hardest. Keith somewhat admired the boy's work ethic. He could never see himself out there doing all that. Keith wondered what went through Lance's mind when he was playing football.

Lance was on the field playing especially hard. He knew Keith was in the crowd watching him, so he put on his A-game. Lance was mostly excited to take Keith out after. He had promised Keith ice cream after the game. Normally after a game, Lance would go out and celebrate with his team, but today he had other plans. Lance was kind of nervous to hear what his team had to say about him spending time with Keith.

Most of the boys in their school liked to make fun of Keith. Lance wasn't really the kind to bully kids so he never joined in on that. He just sat back and observed. They didn't even know Keith, so they didn't know what they were talking about. Lance didn't really care what his friends thought anyways.

With two minutes left on the clock, Lance was across the field. His team was already winning so he didn't have much to worry about. All Lance had to do was just keep his guard up. When the game ended Altea High's team took another win, leaving the other team in sadness. Lance and his team took a minute to celebrate on the field before they all ran off to the locker room. Lance told Keith yesterday to meet him by the locker room after the game

Keith sighed in relief, he was so glad the game was over. He stood up from the cold metal of the bleachers and moved down the steps. Keith was bubbling with excitement. He got to go out with Lance, that was going to be the peak of his day. Keith shoved his hands in the front pocket of Lance's hoodie and walked across the cement. He found his way to the locker room and leaned against the wall, awaiting Lance.

After a few minutes, Lance came out of the locker room carrying his gym bag. Lance stopped and looked around for a minute, not seeing Keith. The short boy giggled. He came up from behind Lance and stood on his tippy toes, covering Lance's eyes.

"Guess who?" Keith whispered into Lance's ear.

Lance shivered and then let out a laugh. He removed Keith's hands and spun around. Lance engulfed Keith into a huge hug. "I'm so happy you came," Lance mumbled. He found himself getting really happy, just from hugging Keith. Lance could stand there and hug Keith forever. The feeling he got from hugging the smaller boy was something he wanted to feel for the rest of his life.

Keith smiled as he buried his face into Lance's chest. He loved making Lance happy. He loved hearing that Lance was happy. "You played so good," Keith complimented the taller boy. To everyone's surprise, Keith somewhat paid attention to the game. Not that he knew what was going on, but he paid attention to how Lance played.

Lance chuckled a little. "Yeah, you think so?" Lance asked with a smile. He pulled away a little to look at Keith's face, but he still held on to him.

"Of course, you always play good." Keith pulled back a little and pulled at the hoodie. "I'm lucky to be representing the best player."

Lance blushed a little and laughed. "The best?" Lance asked in surprise. He would have never pictured Keith complimenting him. When they first talked Keith did nothing but insult Lance. It was a huge change in attitude, and Lance loved it.
