TW: Violence, homophobia/slurs, mentions of sexual assault

Lance gripped his steering wheel tightly, knuckles turning white. He stared out his windshield impatiently, his blood boiling with anger. Lance had been in a bad mood ever since he woke up. It was the new year, and the first day back to school after break. Not a single fucking student enjoyed returning to school after a ten-day break. School days just seemed to get longer after Christmas break, and work got more consistent. Things just got much more stressful for Lance after break. Midterms were coming up, football season was over and it was decently cold outside. This was normally the time of the year where Lance started to slip, so let's just say he wasn't in a good place right now.
If you were wondering what Lance was doing, he was sitting in the parking lot of his school. It was about thirty minutes before class begun and instead of walking the halls with his boyfriend, Lance was awaiting someone. Given that Lance was mad you could probably guess who he was waiting for. Lance had plans for today. It may have been the first day back after the break, but Lance didn't give a fuck. He had something very serious to take care of. Lance had been inching to resolve this issue since Christmas. As much as he enjoyed break with Keith, he was desperate to go back to school so he could finally have this situation handled and over with. It ate him up from the inside out that he couldn't do anything while he was away from school. Now that he was back to school, Lance wasn't going to waste a single fucking second.
Keith had told Lance that he didn't want to turn Lotor and James into the authorities. Of course, Lance didn't agree with that. He thought that the two should rot behind bars for the rest of their lives, but that wasn't Lance's choice. He tried to persuade Keith a little, but Keith showed no avail whatsoever. Lance let it go, not wanting to force Keith into doing something he wasn't ready for. Even if Lance didn't think that was the best decision, he still supported Keith a hundred percent. Keith also said he didn't want Shiro to know a single thing. Lance completely understood that because he knew how often his boyfriend and Shiro butted heads. Keith said that he didn't want to tell people because he didn't want to be treated like a victim, and he didn't want to have to relive his experiences. That was another thing Lance completely understood. Even so, he felt like if Keith kept it hidden from everyone then it'd start to hurt in the future. Lance and Keith both came to an agreement that Keith would talk to his therapist about it. They also agreed that when Keith was ready and fully recovered, he would talk to Shiro about what happened. Lance made sure to let Keith know that there was no rush in getting better. Keith should improve at his own past. Rushing to get in a better headspace would only make it more stressful. Lance also vowed that he'd hold Keith's hand through every step of the way, and he'd always be there for him.
Even if they found common ground, Lance still felt like he had to do something. What kind of boyfriend would he be if he just let James and Lotor walk away from this? Lance knew for a fact that Keith wouldn't want him to get involved, but he already was. He was involved in the situation from the beginning. Just because Lance didn't know about it till recently didn't mean it wasn't about him. It was his relationship with Keith, and it was Lance that those two were trying to rip away from Keith. Whether Keith liked it or not, Lance was involved, extremely involved. There was no way in hell Lance was going to just walk away from this situation. No, Lance was better than that. He was gonna show Lotor and his little fucking friend that he wasn't to be fucked with, that Keith was not to be fucked with.
Now, Lance wasn't raised to solve issues with violence. His mother and father raised him to be respectful of everyone. Violence wasn't what Lance was raised around, he was taught to either just ignore things or be mature about the situation. Even if Lance wasn't much of a fighter, he also wasn't a bitch. Not only was he taught to be kind, but he was also raised to not let people walk all over him. Lance was supposed to stand up for himself and the people he loved, so that's exactly what he was going to do. He wasn't going to just let what Lotor and James did go undealt with. Lance was going to handle it, then everybody could move on.
