Chapter 21: 'H-He's a virgin?'

Lance was stressed, to start this off.

It was Monday, everyone's least favorite day. Lance was tired and had a killer headache. He woke up with it and couldn't shake it throughout the day. He didn't get much sleep last night because he worked late. Lance dressed lazily today because it was fucking Monday, give him a break. Overall, Lance was having a pretty shitty day.

He strolled into his fourth hour with his earbuds in. Lance wasn't in the mood for social interaction at the moment. Having earbuds in told people not to talk to you. The first thing Lance did when he walked into the classroom was look for Keith. Surprisingly, Keith wasn't in his seat. Keith hadn't been answering any of Lance's texts for the past two days. Lance just figured Keith was in trouble with Shiro since he walked out again. He didn't want to think to much about it, but he couldn't help it. Lance would be lying if he said he wasn't worried about Keith. Keith was acting weird after they had sex on Saturday. Lance didn't want to push Keith because he knew Keith was in a bad mood. Even so, Keith never ignored his texts.

Lance walked over to Pidge. Pidge was the only friend of Keith's that he knew of. Lance knew they were pretty close, so he thought Pidge would at least know something. "Hey," Lance said softly. Lance and Pidge used to be really good friends, but they drifted in middle school. It was kind of awkward between the two since they weren't friends anymore, but that wasn't going to stop Lance.

Pidge looked up at Lance with a confused expression. She didn't know why Lance was talking to her. Didn't he have other friends? "Hey," Pidge mumbled, not sure where this conversation was going.

"Do you know where Keith is?" Lance asked. "He hasn't been answering his phone and I don't know if he's here or not."

Pidge snickered a little. Now she knew why Lance was talking to her. Pidge had her suspicions about Keith and Lance's relationship. She knew for a fact that the two weren't just friends. There was something going on between them. She wasn't stupid. Keith always denied it when she brought it up, which Pidge knew was a lie. As good of a liar as Keith was, Pidge read right through him. "He's not here today. I was on the phone with him last night, he said Shiro was letting him stay home."

Lance raised an eyebrow. Shiro let Keith stay home? Why? Lance could only assume he was sick, but he didn't seem sick when he was with Lance. Shiro wasn't the type to just let Keith stay home anyways. What made Lance even more confused was that Keith was answering Pidge and not him. Lance got it, Pidge and Keith were close. Was Keith just mad at him? What could he have done wrong? Lance couldn't think of anything he did to set Keith off. He just thought Keith was in a mood. Keith is always in a mood so Lance didn't think about it. If Keith was actually mad at Lance then he would've said something about it. Keith always says what's on his mind. It all confused Lance so fucking much. He just wanted to call Keith and talk to him, but Keith was ignoring him. Was this payback for him ignoring Keith?

"Really? Shiro let him stay home from school?" Lance asked in disbelief. There was no way Shiro would let him stay home without a good reason.

"That's what I said, doesn't seem very Shiro like," Pidge mumbled. The reason Keith and Pidge were so close was because Shiro and Pidge's older brother, Matt, used to date. Their relationship lasted for about three years. They dated when they were in their late teens, like nineteen. They broke up on good terms and they're still friends today.

"Any idea as to why he's ignoring me?"

Pidge shrugged because she honestly had no clue. "Not really. Everytime I bring you up to him he goes into virgin panic, so he doesn't talk about you much," Pidge claimed.

Lance gave Pidge a confused look. What the fuck is virgin panic? Lance has never heard of that once in his eighteen years of living. Was it a joke between the two of them? "Virgin panic?" Lance asked, not fully understanding.
